The media center on the top floor of Wey was way too small for a school this size. Glad to see this finally done. I remember going up there in the spring and walking by the art studios also housed in the building. There was some...uh...full body art being done, and not the kind I cared to look at.
Plus that Wey Hall elevator is the scariest damn elevator on campus.

LOL! I had a roommate that particpated in that full-on body art for some extra cash. Didn't think it was worth it myself, but props to him I guess for having (and showing) the balls to do it.

Glad to see this is opening.
The old WASU studio was brutal. Although it did prepare me for the Cumulus studios in Wilmington.

Gee,does time fly.In the summer of 1977, a small group of us (3),moved WASU from Chappell Wilson to what was then called the New Art & Speech building. The radio (in CW) was on the top floor, the TV on the main floor. The desks that went to Way Hall were 5 finger discounted from the classrooms in CW.I was at the 40th Anniv. celebration last year,& it was good to see what was upcoming. The industry will see more changes in the next 10 years than what has been seen in the last 80.The Wal-Marting of the industry though will continue to hurt radio & tv ,plus the technical changes in the devices we will be using will cause a bigger divide in the have & havenots. The students today will have some unique challenges in the future.
