Snow pack in western NC

Unread post by brocktune90 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 1:14 pm

This article lists Appalachian Ski Mountain as having the same base as Jackson Hole. Sugar is just behind it. Is this accurate? Has there been that much more snow this year?

It's nice to get a little skiing credibility for the NC ski mountains.

Cheers.

No but there has been a lot of cold. The snow machines have been getting in a lot of work for a while. It got off to a bit of a slow start so they have been making a lot of snow to extend the season. Plus we're not done with the natural yet or the man made. They'll be skiing into April.

All of the local ski mountains got new snow blowers this year that produces a really good base with just cold weather required.
