Fantastic for those 4 or 5 thousand there. Best concert ever for me!

Good to hear! And nice thought of 4 or 5K in the Holmes Center. Although the Beach Boys were a bit before my time I still know most of their hit songs...so I gave great thought to attending. I was on-campus yesterday morning for an alumni council meeting and one of the members had a couple extras and I almost pulled the trigger, but figuring the logistics of getting down the mountain for a birthday party and then back up with no time to spare gave me pause. From the sound of it, I probably should've give it a go. I just wish we could get more shows up the mountain and in the Holmes Center. I feel that venue's calendar is lacking and no facility on our campus is more under-utilized to it's potential.

A little before my time, but a very good concert. They included photos of our logo and cheerleaders in their video slideshow when they played "Be true to Your School." The crowd roared it's approval. Guess I can forgive Mike Love for the Appalayshun State references.
All in all a great show.

If they took time to personalize a graphic then plus 1 on that even if they messed up the correct pronouncing of the school.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Introduced by the Chancellor. Beasley and Coaxh Fox were in attendance. 1st set was okay and the hits came in the 2nd set. Would have been a golden opportunity to get a temp license and sell some beer and wine and make some money for Yosef. All in all it might have been the 2nd biggest crowd in the HCC. Festival seating for a closed arena like this is not a good idea.

Talk of biggest crowds got me thinking. What are the largest crowds in the HCC? I did a quick search, but haven't had any luck finding such list. I know Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds in 2003 may be the largest crowd ever in the holmes dome (hell of a show, I might add!) - it was standing room only.

The games against the 'holes, then Davidson with Curry have to be high up there - perhaps #'s 2 and 3.

Any other large events, non-sports?

It's a simple case of "the language of marketing and promotion" aren't spoken fluently in that venue. I have high hopes that Chancellor Everts will fix it.

I love the older bands, they almost always put on great shows, 3 weeks ago saw Tesla, Styxx, and Def Lepard, all three bands played like it was their last show, (which, as old as they were, it might have been), as good a show I've seen in years.

Sounds like a good en', here is a clip of Tesla a few years back. Not the best quality. Anyway, I always liked the hair bands of the 80s.

never seen Tesla before, they were really good, held their own with Styxx and Def. For my money, Styxx is still my favorite concert band, seen them 3 times, always puts on a great show. Kinda sad though, the original bass player lives here in West Palm Beach, is in bad shape, and looks really bad, he joins them on stage when they come down here for a few songs, I noticed during the songs each of his bandmates took turns standing real close to him, just kinda holding him up and supporting him, sad to watch.
