New "Thanks" button replaces rep points
Unfortunately - the reputation system is gone for now. In it's place, however is the new "Thanks" button. On any post in the top right hand corner (just to the left of the author info) you should see a new thumbs up. Clicking it will allow you to 'thank' the author for their post. It works very similarly to the rep points and compiles all your 'thanks' in your profile. It's new so if there are any bugs - let me know. Enjoy!

Unacceptable! I worked hard for those rep points and the additional posts that New App made to point out to the world that he gave me a rep point!
Just kidding!

Perhaps I am blind, but I do not see the new thumbs-up in the iphone/mobile view. Am I missing something? My view looks like this:

Nevermind. Figured it out. The box to the right is a drop down box which includes the new "thanks" option.AppDawg wrote:Perhaps I am blind, but I do not see the new thumbs-up in the iphone/mobile view. Am I missing something? My view looks like this:

Can you enable it on Tapatalk? Another forum I'm a member of allows it and let's me show appreciation while using mobile/iPad.

Re: New "Thanks" button replaces rep points
Oh, darn. Those rep points were the only positive thing in my life ... NOT. It would be nice to have the totals from before show up in the Thanks total.
One of the things I pay attention to on other boards is whatever their rep point system is. It makes it easier to figure out quickly who's being comical / facetious and who's just a real bozo.

Anyone who gets upset over their online reputation/thanks count needs to take their blankee and go home to their crib.

Re: New "Thanks" button replaces rep points
I don't think anyone's upset by the disappearance of the rep points. It's more like some of us having our old Delphi MMB join date instead of the Yosef's Cabin join date when we changed forum hosts a few years back.

Re: New "Thanks" button replaces rep points
My format on my IPad is all screwed up. Everything is on the left column and the right is covered in ads. Would someone pm me if you know how to fix this?

Re: New "Thanks" button replaces rep points
The only way I've found of getting around it is to use Tapatalk (iPad app for forums). You lose some site functionality but don't have to see thread titles in single letter columns.Rekdiver wrote:My format on my IPad is all screwed up. Re: New "Thanks" button replaces rep points
I am working on the mobile/tablet issues - not sure why it's doing that. Tapatalk is a really great fix though as Daphne mentioned, some functionality isn't available in Tapatalk yet but I think the majority of people generally just read and post, and there's no better solution than Tapatalk.

Re: New
Yeah everyone who has been on here for some time knows who you mean - Look over the last year or so and see how many really thoughtful, knowledgeable and caring posters are no longer posting on this board - Several members take time to research and find articles and information that they could keep for themselves but choose to share with the other members of this board (and visitors). The rep points are the only thanks some get for their efforts and it might not be a big deal to you but it doesn't mean everyone feels the same. I have made several friends during my time here and one very special friend in FireMoose. I was and am still pissed at the dismissive and disrespectful comments made directly or indirectly about his efforts. He's my friend and I'm standing up for him and comments like "that the blankee and go to your crib" while knowingly meant for me also reflected stupidly on the man who does more than any other to inform us. Look, I wrote you, Beau Foster, off years ago as you found it your duty to call out our individual players for not meeting "your standards" on the field. You backed that up with comments like, "He's 19 and a big boy and when he decided to play college football he is open game for my criticism" - What a joke!!! - these kids work their asses off for 12 months a year, get up at 4 am and run and work out and you, YOU, think you can call out their efforts in a public forum. It's no-nothing, arm-chair, X-Box playing experts like you who lead to the ruin of good boards - Adios!!!BeauFoster wrote:I know...wasn't talking about you or Daphne.Gonzo wrote:I was being facetious

Oh no! You wrote me off! I'm devastated. [emoji22]
Seriously, are you still in a twist about the whole recruiting article from the Internet? If so, get over it. I know more about the situation than you think.
