"Currently ASU's average room rental rate is $4,570, which is the sixth lowest in the UNC system. A 4 percent annual increase would bring that rate up to $6,106 in 2024-25."Dmanuhone wrote:http://www.wataugademocrat.com/news/asu ... c0c1f.html

Those were wild west days in some parts of Watauga and western Wilkes. Iron City and Old Milwaukee were 25ยข house beer specials for mostly penniless college kids at Joe's Friendly Tavern at the Wilkes-Watauga county line on 421. The joint was owned and operated by E. J. Trivette, a part-time NASCAR driver. He was a big, burly bull of a man. He ruled his bar with muscle and a loaded Colt 45--that he'd pull out if things got too roudy around the tables, the pin-ball machines and in the parking lot.Rekdiver wrote:And Busch was 99 cents a six pack and gas was .13 cents a gallonDoubleA wrote:I used to pay about $900 per semester for tuition, room, board and book remtal.
