I give that one a definite NO!

I don't like that one, nor do I really like the vintage Yosef logo... Or even the Fisherman one. However, that logo that is on the black helmet on one of these posts without the eye on it... Now that I can go along with, without the eye.

Additionally, AppState removes the "ASU" abbreviation and replaces it with Simply "APP"
Well that probably has to do with being in the same conference as Arkansas State, and they were ASU in the Sun Belt well before we got here.

stAte and every other ASU in the country - arizona st, angelo st, alabama st, albany st, alcorn st, etc.

There is just 1 APP.

It use to irk me when I would pull up live stats from goasu and see the angelo st or alabama st logo's instead of ours or see ASU on bottomline and those not in the know realizing that ASU is us. Just a week ago, I went to the stAte live stats during our game and it had APP right with the correct logo, but showed us playing Arizona st - and this was on stAte's site.

For whatever reason the change was made, I am glad we have differentiated ourselves. Just wish we had of trademarked APP 15 or 20 years ago before the rise of smartphones!

I actually think a good option for replacing the current end zone design would be to have a black background (of course) with block "APPSTATE" - APP in yellow, STATE in white. As much as people complain about not having black end zones, to me it's the current font and stacked words that look worse. But "Appalachian State" is too long to put in block letters in the end zone.

Could go "Appalachian" in one end zone and "Mountaineers" in the other, but I don't think we should just go back to the exact same look we had previously, as I think that's a little dated now.
I really don't like those endzones and it looked bad at the bowl game frankly.

App State, Appalachian State, I don't really care, just as long as they darken in the endzones...the current state looks like something you'd see at a D-II school.

You have to admit, having ESPN's logo on a helmet would look pretty dang sweet:

That is a cool Yosef but I don't like how some of it gets lost under the chin strap. It might look lame small enough to fit though.

That's the logo for Mountaineer Mania, couldn't be used if they wanted it to.

The part of that logo that I like is how it's a full bodied logo that's got that "trudging off angrily" pose that NCSU, UNC, ECU, Miami, Florida, Wisconsin, Nebraska, etc. had with their mascots back in the 80's.

Easy solution, you actually make it bigger (think Boise State's recent helmets with the oversized Bronco) then you can sneak the black strap between the beard and hat. Or keep it the same size and just color the chin strap accordingly so it ties right in while it's buckled.

Your right making it bigger would fit the chin strap buckel in the black space. Problem solved, send it Doug!

Love old school Yosef as that was the mascot during my tenure at App. Really love the block A as well in either black or white style. I too would go with black end zones at Kidd Brewer.

ESPN designed it, so they own it. Everything is negotiable.

Knowing Nike, they'll probably come up with one of their god-awful designs and have helmets for us that give the illusion our players have beards.

I'm sure we have final veto. They design options, we wear the ones we want.

I have one of those hanging up in my house. A nice little piece of Appalachian history.

No clue. I got mine back in 1992 from someone who attended ACTC back in the day when she heard I had decided to go to App.
