My daughter is getting married in 2017 and would like to have the ceremony in the high country. She is a 2015 graduate, her fiancee 2014.

We've been searching for possible venues and such. I'm thinking some of you on here, especially locals, might offer some suggestions.

Thanks.

I went to a wedding at Eseeola once that was very nice. It was a fall wedding and scenery was incredible. I would think that Grandfather Vineyard would be a great place as well.

My wife and I (I'm a 2012 grad and she is 2014) got married at the gazebo in blowing rock and we had our reception at the solarium on campus. It was only like $150 to rent the gazebo and the solarium was a couple hundred more. The solarium does weddings to we just wanted to be outside. The solarium makes you use app food catering for the food and we had a pasta buffet. They also include staff(asu students) I wanna say it was around 400 or 500 but that included our wedding cake food and staff. It was also nice because they cleaned up everything! I can send you some of our pictures if you're interested in either place.

Banner Elk Winery hosts weddings and has a rustic barn for gatherings.

Not sure how fancy you want to get...we got married on a mountain and then had the reception at the apple barn in Valle crucis by the episcopal? Church...it's fun and unpretentious and u can decorate it as u see fit. My niece married in Valle crucis at the horse stables that's really a wedding venue that has an area for outside wedding by the river....when I say horse barn, it's really a party place and well put together...ud have to reserve early. One other place that's beautiful is the river house out in grassy creek near jefferson. Awesome food bed and breakfast that will do weddings and the ceremony can be done by he largest sycamore I've ever seen down along the new river...again...I'm an outdoors guy...y'all might be different

I got married at Bass Lake in Blowing Rock. It's part of the Moses Cone Park.

My daughter got married last August at the Chapman Center near Newland. It was a great venue and had an awesome view of Grandfather Mtn.

Not sure about the actual wedding, but I've been to a reception at Boone golf club.

I was at ASUPATCH's wedding and will second the Green Park Inn. It was beautiful, staff was very eloquent, food was great and the bride was magnificent. The groom left a little to be desired though...

That is interesting. There is a local venue about 20 minutes from my home that is pretty much top of the line with glamour and luxury but it will not have the charm of Green Park.

A couple of questions if you don't mind: When did you get married? How many attended?

On a side note, I see you are from Denver. My son (2010) lives in Broomfield.
