Dopping my baby off today. Another Mountaineer starting the journey. Boone is a zoo today by the way.

Congrats to you and your daughter...I'm going up tomorrow to help mine get settled back in. (ie., go to WalMart and Target and buy umpteen things she swears she needs but probably will never use.)appbio91 wrote:Dopping my baby off today. Another Mountaineer starting the journey. Don't make it to Boone too much? I thank God we don't have a target here. My wife would spent too much time and money there.Appsolutely wrote:Congrats to you and your daughter...I'm going up tomorrow to help mine get settled back in. Ever tried Mack's LM. That got me through lots of late night munchies.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:Heading back down after dropping off my daughter at her apt. Avoided Walmart. But we did have to shop some.
Found Neese's andJenkins livermush at the Ingles. Drive 2 hrs to buy a product to haul back for 2 hrs and it is made 10 from my home.
I don't think I have tried Mack's. I prefer Hunter's and surprised that Ingles did not carry Hunter's. I'll have to scope out Mack's when I am back in the liver mush zone of the state. Particular store I should look for?appbio91 wrote:Ever tried Mack's LM. You'd be amazed how it works now. I pulled up to Cannon in my truck slam full. Volunteers steped up unloaded everything to a staging area. They had me move my truck to State Farm lot and brought me back on the Cart. By the time I got back another set of volunteers had moved the stuff up to her 5th floor room. I did not touch one box. It was almost too easy. Now the bad part when we went back to our Condo for a relaxing weekend in Boone it was totally destroyed. A restoration expert was in there pulling out all the walls and contents. Major flood from overhead. The hell of it is I had just had all my plumbing redone and the drywall people had just finished painting Thursday night. The problem was not mine so HOA will pay for restoration but you can't imagine how painful it was to write the check for the work that was all in soaked bags. At least I could see all the new pipes in the ceiling and wallsWVAPPeer wrote:After making numerous trips up and down to the 8th floor in the "shoebox on the hill" back in '99 and seeing a guy move in with only a pc and one suitcase, I told our daughter, "this is the only time in 18 years I wish you had been a boy" ---
I'm doing the same for my daughter at NCSU. Much hotter in Raleigh than Boone.TheMoody1 wrote:You guys are lucky. I am having to help my son move back in at Clemson today.![]()
Yep, I moved my older one in for Vet school last week. I actually had to do the work there so a change of clothes was required. Check out the Yard House. Not too pricey and they have 100+ beers on tap.eggers76 wrote:I'm doing the same for my daughter at NCSU. Much hotter in Raleigh than Boone.TheMoody1 wrote:You guys are lucky. Yard House is good. But if you want variety and nearly any microbrew made in the state of NC on draft (and world for that matter) - try the Raleigh Beer Garden on Glenwood. Amazing! They hold the Guiness World Record for most different beers on tap at 366. Yes. Guiness World Record resides in Raleigh.appbio91 wrote:Yep, I moved my older one in for Vet school last week. It would be awesome if the only one they didn't have was Guiness.AppDawg wrote:Yard House is good. My daughter told me about the beer garden, said it was great. Next time I am up that way I will definitely check it out.AppDawg wrote:Yard House is good.
