Tailgate lot starting to get rolling! Gonna go check out fan fest, but I've got beer to share if anyone's around. (I parked in the nearest free deck, not the lot.)

There are a few hundred people either inside or in line for the App tent at Fanfest, and there are literally about 10 in the Ohio tent

We went Friday after the parade and I was not impressed either. Terrible service and cold food. My wife and I split the combo plate that had ribs, pork butt, chicken, and sausage. Not trying to toot my own horn, but I think what I cook on my smoker is way better. Add my wife's sides and I would much rather save the money and eat at home!

We're in the same boat on Dreamland. Maybe it would have been better had they not been getting slammed by App fans all day? The chicken was really good, the ribs were short on meat, and the bbq wasn't even close to Lexington style Q.

Don't know if it depends on what you ordered, but I got the large BBQ sandwich and loved it. Service was a little spotty, but at least polite.

Gotta put a plug in for Dreamland. We ate there Friday early, maybe before they got slammed with App fans, it was all that and more. Good Ribs, good Q and sides were great. Beer selection wasn't bad either. They also did our tailgate meal since I couldn't get a grill on the plane. Very impressed with that as well. White bread dipped in sauce, so simple but so good. I'm an Eastern NC BBQ guy but Dreamland definitely makes the cut. I think they and the town struggled with the numbers that showed up from App. I'd say we made some merchant's Christmas and will begin to hear praises from them.

Sorry Mike but Dreamland Q does not stack up to any of North or South Carolina style Q's.
Service from our waiter was excellent, Q sauce was bland.

Definitely disagree Buddy. Without sauce the Q could be considered bland, but it was well cooked and not too fatty. That's why they give you sauce though. It wasn't Eastern style good but much better than Lexington style.

Loved both Dreamland and Witchell Oyster house, as another poster pointed out everywhere was understaffed and not prepared for the black and gold. Wait times were long and service was slow yet friendly, but LOVED both restaurants we ate at.

I agree. Dreamland was not all that special IMO. Ribs were tough and sides were ok. Went to Jubilee Seafood Friday for dinner and that was very good. All locals except for us. Great Gumbo.

Montgomery was very welcoming to visitors for the bowl game. Would love to visit longer another time to take in more of the historical sites. Regarding restaurants, our group enjoyed Dreamlands BBQ. I would also recommend Chris' Hot Dogs- great hole in the wall place for hamburgers and dogs. We will definitely return to Chris' on our next visit.
