I know it is early, but I was wondering if anyone is going to make the trip to Knoxville?
My OCD will not let me wait until the last minute to start planning!

I wouldn't miss it for the world! I grew up at UT football fan (thanks Peyton) so the Vols were always my FBS team of choice until our move up. I know of many in the Catawba Valley (Hickory area) who have both UT & ASU connections so this game has been circled on the calendar for some time for quite a few. It's going to be odd to be in Neyland and pulling against the guys in Orange (though I haven't been to a game in Knoxville in over 10 years) but I really hope we take it to Butch & Co. on that day. That would make for a hell of a start to what could be a truly groundbreaking season.

Great away game we wouldn't miss! Hope there will be an alumni tailgate. Anyone know a close hotel to the stadium?

I will be there. Can't make it same day so I got a hotel right outside of Knoxville. Hotels in the heart of downtown or near the stadium are outrageously priced. Understandable considering there is a game and it's Labor Day weekend. I found a reasonable price at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Knoxville West. Would love to have some fellow Mountaineers join me and my family...All of whom graduated from App State.

I'll be there unless some crazy unforeseen something happens. I love supporting our Apps in these historic big time venues. Would be epic if we could sneak in there and steal one!

I'm just hoping App State is given a generous allotment, or many UT fans are looking to sell their tickets for the game. I fear some that want to go could be left out. My brother works for UT and put a request in for 20 tickets. He said he was likely guaranteed that request. If that's the case we will be looking to help some App State fans out.
