IMO Eric church has lost a lot of credibility to me. I've heard from a reliable source in the athletics department, that we approached him to perform at the Miami game, but he refused because the acoustics we're "subpar". I still say stick with out awesome video department..

He has done multiple interviews on air, the last one was during the Clemson game, guess some didn't hear the kind words he used to describe his feelings for his university and the program.

Eric Church does nothing to get me fired up ( and I'm guessing most of the Players don't listen to him either) but the Hail to the King song is clearly the right direction. Loud and heavy and I love it. I just don't see the big inflatable helmet rocking to Church.

It isn't traditional county (what really in today's world) and definitely not 'Bro Country. If anything it is more Rock. Everyone is entitled to their own opinon. Personally, I think the buildup at the start of the song and lyrics fit.

I believe we had "The Outsiders" by Eric Chuch long before ESPN picked it up and made it a staple for all of their college football broadcasts.

Too bad our fanbase complained so much we stopped playing it.

It wasn't the song the fans complained about, it was Church un-enthusiastically saying "Welcome To The Rock" at the end of it.

TBH, I'm tired of Eric Church. I'm tired of being told to like him because he went to App and he's not Bro Country or whatever (I don't listen to country). I'm tired of being told we were bad fans for not liking something he did "out of the goodness of his heart". I'm tired of people from the athletics office still being bitter about something from three years ago.

I get even more tired of it when he goes on TV and says he bleeds Carolina blue, yet I hear about what he does for App "behind the scenes".

He's still at alot of App games just an FYI.

The biggest issue is that intro came out in 2013, when App had its worst season in the 2000s. Had App been winning nobody would have cared/noticed. I personally like Welcome to the Rock with Connery just making a point on the Eric Church thing.

Yes, and not just at a lot of games, but it is my understanding that he also owns a suite. Which is no small financial investment.

I don't know about an entrance song, but I'd like to hear more bluegrass/traditional mountain music a little more. That Alabama song doesn't count...

How about have one of our talented athletes rewrite the chorus/ending of "My House" by Flo Rida? Change it to "Our House", remix to pump it a little and make the lyrics work. The video would be hard hits, big offensive plays, etc. Would be much more likely to get the players pumped and I think the fans would but in too with the right lyrics and awesome video. It ends with the phrase "WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE!!!". Fans could chant that along with the presentation.
