Heck, I'm a Cane fan, and I'd take that bet. I think it's going to be close into second half and then whoever makes the least mistakes and is able to run better takes it. Obviously I'm hoping our o and d lines wear you down a little. Good luck.
When did Miami get better lines than UT?
I didn't say anything in my statement that either was better. Though I've said in a different post on this board that you guys deserved the UT Game and not to take anything away from what you accomplished in that game - I believe UT is over rated. See you Saturday !

I wouldn't put the 3 sacks ODU got on the OL. TL needs to make quicker decisions. The OL can only hold off defenders for so long. TL will need to speed up his decision process even more against the U. As for my prediction, I'll go with my heart!

App St - 23
The U - 22
That is true. There are always at least three factors that contribute to a sack--the pass blocking, the coverage/receivers ability to get open, and QB decision-making.

This will be a great game to gauge where each team is. Miami has good wins against suspect competition. This will be a giant step up in play this week and they are thin on defense. They are starting three freshmen at LB. they all appear to be really good but again, against questionable opponents. The Miami fans don't know this but they soon will, this online of App will be the best line they will face outside of FSU. Their OL is their weakness and they will have to adjust to our 3-4. We will need to apply pressure to Kaaya to help our young DB's. The recipe to a win is to grind it out on offense and wea and wear them down upfront. Get pressure on defense and stay discipline in gap responsibility. I think that we do that.

Win the turnover battle and keep their QB pressured. Secondary has to step up and contain, Miami will get their yards though. We will make the correct adjustments. We have to play like we belong!

Maybe more so than usual, this game is won or lost in the trenches. If App's front 7 can keep the pressure on Miami's offensive back field, it will slow them down. I can see Miami getting off a couple big plays, but the battle up front will be key. Similarly App's O-line will need to open some holes for Marcus, and give Taylor time to take some shots down field.
“When you take that field today, you've got to lay that heart on the line, men. From the souls of your feet, with every ounce of blood you've got in your body, lay it on the line until the final whistle blows.”

We should throw some gimmicky plays in there, like the triple option.

In all seriousness, I think we get up early and hold on.

Gray could be a difference maker if he is healthy and can play. The "U"s passing game worries me though. Great write up BIG C. Head says U should win but heart says: Team with Dreams of Seizing the Moment- 24 The Dream Team of Years Gone By- 23!!!

24-21 App State. It's 7am game day and I don't want to look at all the picks on my phone. Sure several have picked the same score.

It's safe to say today would answer that question - obviously we are better than Temnessee. Great time in Boone - will celebrate tonight. Good luck rest of the year. Either you guys got too hyped up - but you were not ready for the Category 5 hurricane that blew through here.

Congratulations on your win. Richt has you back on track. And you are better than Temnessee. And Tennessee.

I'm not sure which one is accurate. Guess I got champagne in my eyes from the victory toast. We look forward to hosting you when you visit Miami, I'd stay in Fort Lauderdale though if I were you.
