Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
They were cutting in the band line on the opposite end of the field. The hill side endzone.Appersrule wrote:No reason the band should be positioned where the visiting team comes out. This doesn't happen anywhere else. Didn't see UT's band lined up in the endzone App came out of. This is poor planning. Doesn't excuse the behavior if true but still, don't put yourself in bad situations.

Well, it's been picked up by the media now. I don't know what happened, other than their players running through the band. If it was something, then I'm glad Miami is looking into it. If it's nothing, then the person making the false accusations should be held accountable.

Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
Yeah, every replay I've seen shows no wrong doing by any Miami players. Stay classy App fans and please stop calling them "Thug U", that's way worse than when someone calls us "Appy State". The entire game I thought Miami's players played with class, never saw them have any late hits or cheap shots.

Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
Might be BS indeed but this shows nothing, looks like it picks up at about the 50. Color guard nowhere to be seen. You can however see one of the players that cut in the band line. So thanks for confirming that bit of classy behavior.Miami45AppetizerSt10 wrote:BS, and the best angle yet.....
Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
As many are close to the team on here I'm closer to the music building. I saw it in a post by a color guard that had been shared over 300 times (now close to 1000).daytonacane wrote:vegattk, how exactly did you come into possession of this note? I believe there is possibly liable in this case
I've always said that there needs to be evidence to point a finger in any direction in this case. I've talked to the student in question and asked her specifically WHERE the initial shove/hit happened and she gave me the coordinates. You can see the band member and the subsequent Miami run in the initial video but not in the second.
I will also mention that I CAN NOT see any kind of movement from the person in question from the vantage point of the press box video. None. Nada. I certainly hope this isn't a case of wild exaggeration. We have all seen how these types of things can get legs of their own.
IF this didn't happen there needs to be an apology from the color guard member in question. It just doesn't help that Miami is still in the process of image control due to their rocky history.
The only facts I see is that Miami ran through the band and that one color guard member sat out halftime due to an "incident" during pregame... the rest, at this point is conjecture until a video can prove the hit/groping.

Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
I actually felt like Miami entered the field early, specifically during our entrance. I would assume the plan was for the band/color guard to clear the field prior to their scheduled entrance.App91 wrote:One thing is for sure, regardless of fault, the band needs to alter positioning at the beginning.

I simply posted the information to find further proof/evidence. Never did I say that this actually happened.

You posted it here instead of going through proper channels. That put one if not both universities under a cloud regardless of any factual findings.vegattk wrote:[

Not going to argue with you CVAPP. It's not worth my time. Fact is, if I saw another public post like this one, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It's better to get as many details as possible than to sweep it under the rug. I could care less about any "cloud" it might generate.CVAPP wrote:You posted it here instead of going through proper channels. Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
Cautionary tale for future high profile visiting teams, if they are so inclined. Go to ASU, leave with headlines on national media outlets dragging your school through the mud despite several video angles and first hand witness that says otherwise. Then again the media is more prepared to target Miami than anyone else in the country.

Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
The band was back further then usual due to the parachuters. I would have thought this situation would have been discussed with the Miami coaches and they would have been told the situation and made an effort to try and not run through the band.

This story along with clips of the game was briefly mentioned on ABC News 11 in Raleigh this morning, they said that the police along with the Hurricanes staff is currently investigating these allegations. I was hoping this story would die.

This. Girl has had 4 days to find someone to corroborate her story and come up with nothing. Miami has made a statement. It is time for App St. to do the same and apologize.Boone Goon wrote:Day 4 and still no video evidence...

This whole thing is ridiculous! An admin should just delete this post so we can all move on with our lives...arguing on here over something that may or may not have happened is a huge waste of time in my opinion and we're just stirring ourselves up.

Re: Miami vs. ASU Color Guard
vegattk, Well, you certainly created a fire storm when you took it upon yourself to post it on the message board. I feel you did it for no other reason than to "incite". Why didn't you leave it up to the person who allegedly was accosted to handle? Why did you post on a message board vs. contacting AppState administration and football AD which should have been done. As a Miami fan, I am mad as hell over this accusation and do plan to write your AD and president. And yes, we want a written apology and further would like to see you banned from posting on this board. And, next time, the color guard should get the hell out of the way. This event was about a football game, not color guard or band.vegattk wrote:Not going to happen.CVAPP wrote:And you!vegattk wrote:I will also mention that I CAN NOT see any kind of movement from the person in question from the vantage point of the press box video.
