I understand where you're coming from. I wasn't referencing you or someone else in particular. This just seems like a nice idea and the tone of the discussion blew my mind overall. I hadn't posted on here in a long time and it riled me up enough to do so.NewApp wrote:Before I send money to any charitable entity, I ask questions. Haven't criticized at all. I was a trainer and coach for over a decade, thus know how hard it is to compete for funding within the athletic department. I know nothing about the tent concept and haven't claimed to.hbk999 wrote:Good luck @Yes. Thanks for your financial support and your thoughtfulness.

I want to state I am not questioning YAC's efforts. I applaud them. Hopefully, I can throw a few bucks his way.
I still won't change my view that the price point is quite high, considering what it is, essentially. Those folks could mass produce and market it as a quick up tailgate tent and make millions.

Nathan just to put it out there... I too think it is overpriced but its a new concept. I think price will eventually come down but I'd rather see our training staff get one sooner than later. I do appreciate anything anyone gives.AppinVA wrote:I want to state I am not questioning YAC's efforts. I applaud them. Hopefully, I can throw a few bucks his way.

I haven't asked them to.Saint3333 wrote:I think you're reading more into my post than intended. Could the Yosef Club send out a email to donors telling them of our efforts as an FYI?
Good luck with your efforts.

When I first saw sponsorship, my first thought was Blue Cross, Blue Shield of NC. They already are a big sponsor of App Athletics... further this aligns with their industry.Yosef'sMountaineer wrote:They do not actually provide any regular medical services to the athletes. You would be asking medical providers to work in a tent, have photos taken, and have live TV cameras showing them with the logo of a directly competing organization.moonshine wrote:I'll be contributing after I recover from Christmas. I definitely like the idea of finding sponsorship for the tent (I'm looking at you Novant) especially considering App has upcoming games in Charlotte and Winston-Salem. They could possibly sponsor a couple of tents for men's and women's programs.
Expecting any program but football to use these is unrealistic.

YesAppCan, once pay day rolls around I'll pitch in something, though I can't promise much.
$50 from me as promised. Once I get my tax return, I may be able to contribute a bit more.
