Hello Mountaineers
Hello Mountaineers,
I am a GS fan, but before you throw anything at me, I have always admired ASU as I think we push each other and we need a push lately...lol. Anyway, I tend to see things differently than most GS fans on their board as they actually kicked me off. They don't want to hear the truth at times and tend to live in their own world. My son and I love the Boone area and have vacationed there many times. So, I look forward to participating on your board from time to time as the season nears. Thanks.

Re: Hello Mountaineers
Greetings EmperorEagle and thanks for visiting the High Country. We don't always agree or see things the same way on this board either but usually maintain a certain level of civility. Helps that we're currently winning though. The Eagles are generally hated here but it's because they have historically been such a challenge as you mentioned. Pushing and beating each other is how rivalries develop. I have to say I'm not too worried about the GSU program right now though.

You would be correct as our coach is ....well, terrible and our only hope is our new OC. Hopefully, we will have a new HC next year.

Guess I'm losing my mind and...now that I think about it that guy sounded way to cool to be true...especially claiming to be a GSU Eagle.

Well, Sir, I was just thinking that perhaps there's another possibility we might consider. Ramius might be trying to defect.EmperorEagle wrote:Hello Mountaineers,

Re: Hello Mountaineers
I think this is what separates App Nation from most fan bases (and completely from Stink fans), our willingness to expand our tent to let more in. Forgive me if I refuse to refer to you as the emperor...we'll stick with 'Eagle fan'. Welcome to the board eagle fan, and as long as you're informed and not a jerk you can stay here as long as you like.
Best line I've seen on here in a while was the post that "No one vacations in Statesboro."

Re: Hello Mountaineers
I understand what your coach is trying to do but last year was a horrible time to flip that switch. He basically neutered the offensive weapons. You guys have been down this path before, give the guy a shot to make it happen.EmperorEagle wrote:You would be correct as our coach is ....well, terrible and our only hope is our new OC. EE, hope you have a good time hear and bring a TRUE experience. If so, you'll find a lively, for the most part, respectful, educated and passionate fan base.

He did nothing but circlejerk about Berry College the entire time he was on our board.

Re: Hello Mountaineers
This is EE and yes I was on the GSU message board, but a number of their members lack cognitive skills past the 5th grade. My desire for my son to go to Berry was met rude comments so, I responded. With that being said, my son and I are Eagle fans, but we realize good programs outside of our own as ASU is indeed one of these. We could learn numerous things from ASU.

Re: Hello Mountaineers
I look forward to reading and posting on here. I truly like the town of Boone and respect ASU. My son and I visit often...Like to eat at Come Back Shack and Capone's as well. My Emperor Eagle name is derived from where I grew up (Rome) and not as an arrogant intent.ashugh wrote:EE, hope you have a good time hear and bring a TRUE experience. Re: Hello Mountaineers
I merely stated I wanted my son to go to Berry and supplied a few facts and they lost their mind. They can not understand that Ole Blue is not perfect. When I stated the fact that Berry's endowment wast almost a billion dollars and GSU's was around 60 million, they again lost their mind. There are about 10 members of that message board that attempt to bully everyone else and I was not having it.

Re: Hello Mountaineers
On another note, I am probably in the minority, but if we can not win the conference, I always cheer for ASU.
