Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Need both playmakers back ASAP! Both have more speed than Hennigan, and Meadors is our only true deep threat. Won't beat Wake unless we have someone to take the top off their defense.

Are we sure they are actually injured and not being suspended for something off the field and coaching staff is just calling it an injury? Not trying to start a conspiracy, just wondering.

I don't think that is consistent with how things have been handled in the past. No reason to speculate or question that kind of thing.

I saw Meadors at fanfest, he was favoring his hamstring, but I'm not a doctor.

Wouldn't it be required to publish suspensions? Pretty sure its injuries, but I worry about anyone coming in for the first game of the season, especially this game.

No this is a University they don't have to publish anything like the NFL does. I wonder if they were mowing the grass.

But on this note...our 2 freshman receivers are balling. They have been open and are catching the ball. 5 is getting the praise right now but don't sleep on 14.....just something about that number.

I trust the Evans and Meadors are/were genuinely injured. Then again I think Armanti cut his foot mowing, we walked on the moon, and 9/11 wasn't perpetrated by the US government.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Normally I hate to derail threads, but since I'm fine with changing the subject from a baseless suspension rumor on our current players...
What is the alternative theory on Armanti's injury? I've occasionally seen people imply that the lawnmower story was somehow a coverup, but I've never seen any explanation of what supposedly "really happened."
Thanks in advance for helping a naive fan get woke.

I think if they ever get Armanti back on the B&G Podcast, they need to ask the question, just how did you cut your foot mowing?EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2017 10:42 amNormally I hate to derail threads, but since I'm fine with changing the subject from a baseless suspension rumor on our current players...

Didn't mean to throw this discussion all over the place by my comment, my bad. However, I did want my point of these freshman receivers stepping up to be made. Watched the Texas State game again and man they were open and when they were hit they went right up field with speed.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Back to the original post, FTW, Meadors is not listed on the 2 deep in the game notes for this week. Evans is listed as the 2nd on KO return. Evans is not listed at a WR position.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Evans was the same last week I believe. Based on that we won't see them. But who knows for sure...

I find it odd that they both have hamstring injuries, and Satterfield hasn’t even mentioned either in any media event that I know of? Your 2 most dynamic playmakers are out so far for 3 games, and it’s not even discussed? Something just doesn’t smell right

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Hamstring injuries are one of the most common injuries for "speed" athletes. I wouldn't think that would be an uncommon one for WRs. Satterfield talked about them earlier in the season. There's just no reason to beat a dead horse. They will play when they are able. I hope to see them soon. Evans is listed on the depth chart this week as a returner.

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?
Not exactly breaking news that Satt isn't the most forthcoming about injuries. Or have we forgotten how Beau Nunn was listed as 1st string/"questionable" for a few weeks a couple years ago while he was rolling around on the sideline using a knee scooter?
