Tailgating, Bars, App Flags and Mardi Gras parade
Random stuff:
Where are we tailgating? I heard the parking lot at the stadium was very small. One MMB/Cabin poster (MobileBama I think) suggested tailgating on Dauphin Street and taking one of many shuttles to the game. We need to decide where App Nation will be! And speaking of App Nation, I'm flying to Mobile commercial and can't figure out how to get my flags, poles and base to Mobile! How to get flags and flagpoles there?? Is anyone doing the "Piggly Wiggly VIP Picnic" at the stadium? $15 pretty good price. And lastly I'm still hoping App Alumni will use The Alchemy Bar for our hangout, but so far, no news. We definitely need to make it a gathering spot for MMB/Cabineers. And lastly where best to watch the Mardi Gras parade?
Getting excited! Go Apps!!!!

The alumni is supposed to be putting together a tailgate but I have not heard anything about it yet.
If you are dead set on bringing you flags, poles, and bases to Mobile, why don't you send them to your hotel in the mail?
I plan on walking downtown after the parade and seeing where App Nation is hanging out. I have heard The Alchemy Bar is a great place to hang out so that works for me.

"where best to watch the Mardi Gras parade"
Anywhere along Bienville Square downtown
Monkey Bar Hilton Garden Inn
Battle House bar
Candlewood Suites
I wouldn't watch outside the team hotel as it's the very end of the parade route and will be packed. Most riders will have unloaded their throws by the time they reach Riverview Plaza

It's not that it's small, there's just not much to do. You'll just be sitting in a parking lot surrounded by a neighborhood and old metal stadium. I'd just hang out on Dauphin Street where you can bar hop, eat, watch football etc then Uber or shuttle it over to Ladd for the game. I'd sign up for the Piggly Wiggly VIP Picnic" at the stadium but not sure how good it is.

I'm finding the alumni events stuffy and expensive.....Put it in the middle of an App tailgating spot, not separate facility.

I actually thought the alumni tailgate for the Camellia bowl was great. Reasonable price considering it included both food and drinks (beer) and was located in the fan fest area, so you could listen to the live band and walk around to other fan fest activities.

So is there any consensus on where most App people are tailgating? and how are we doing on ticket sales?

There is a brewery downtown called Serda Brewing which has some good reviews. Will probably check it out Friday afternoon.

I am a group of roughly 10 that will be tailgating on Saturday. My understanding is it cost $20 to park and it is first come first serve. We plan to be there when the Lot opens.MountaineerKidd wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2017 1:24 pmSo is there any consensus on where most App people are tailgating? and how are we doing on ticket sales?

The Alumni has announced that their bar is going to be T. P. Crockmiers.
My plan is to walk around until I find a large group of App Fans.

Great, my group of 4 will be doing the same thing. Really hope people find a way to get down there. The last two were so much fun I would't miss the opportunity.ASUGrad2014 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2017 4:12 amI am a group of roughly 10 that will be tailgating on Saturday.
