We have a large group that will be in Lot 25 as well. Mixture of UNCC and ASU fans/alums, so us ASU fans will not be alone there. We are planning to get there between 1:30 and 2 in hopes of them letting us in early. Is lot 25 first come first serve/park?Lowcountry App wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 10:54 amI have a spot in lot 25 and plan to tailgate. I just hope there’s a lot of App fans in 25. I don’t want my family to be surrounded by smart mouth punks.

I'm parking / tailgating in Union Deck with a few UNCC students that I guarantee won't be "Nasty" or "Smart Mouthed Punks". My son and a couple of his friends. Pretty good guys.

If anyone gets in the Union Deck early and has a large group of App fans in there let me know where. I probably won't be down until 3:30-4pm or so.
Re: Tailgating at UNCC
I'm going to the purple deck at 11 am. Park at the entrance and drink outside my car and wait.

My son and I are meeting up with friends in the Union Deck. Anyone know where I can park in order to take the rail to that area? Is that possible? We would just ride in then walk to the deck and stadium

yes, the on campus stop is up the street (Cameron) from the union deck...you can see it on Google maps.
Have heard the rumor that decks may open at 12:00, any confirmation on that?

I’ll be in the lot right next to the stadium, most likely in the middle of a bunch of Charlotte PSL holders. Just look for the Big App Flag hanging off my trunk and some App fans drinking “mountain water” out of Solo cups! Stop by, would love to meet you.

See my post in another thread. Tailgating can now start at noon for this game only.NO.2 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 10:26 am2PM according to someone on their board.
Seems a little late to me.
Edit: The guidelines on page 8 of this document from their parking website confirms the 4 hour tailgate-kick off window.

Extra 2 hours for us to “fuel” our engines.... let’s just make sure we do not stoop to any belligerent Charlotte student level if provoked. If things go the way they should, irrelevance and frustration lead young drunk kids to do and say stupid things.

Anyone taking in a couple of the bars/restaurants in downtown Charlotte and then riding the light rail that lets off right across the street from the stadium? Just wondering.

Lots open at 12, got the same email. Should be plenty of time to acquire all the space needed for our people and spread out.
I can't make this game as I am out of town on business, will be great to get updates to what the scene looks like down there and how many App fans are on ground.

Re: Tailgating at UNCC
Don't be surprised if they do. I have a friend who went to the green/white Spring Game and rules were heavily enforced. Also, pay attention to which entry they tell you to use. They do not allow traffic directly around the stadium, so you have to enter your required entrance.
There is a MacAdo's on Hwy 49 (and many other options), very near to the campus if you arrive early.
