I was on the home sideline and well before the game, your players tried to start shit with ours twice running their mouths and shoving one of our guys WARMING UP. Almost broke out into a free for all and it was so bad the referees and security had to separate them. I’ve NEVER seen that with an opposing team before a game in Paulson.

That's funny because of all the people I've talked to about those two incidents, including GaSo fans and a GaSo beat writer, they ALL said it was clearly the iggles that caused the scuffles. Coming on to our side of the field, pushing through the player wall during walk throughs, one threw a ball at Duck.

Again, this is coming from GaSo fans as well so it's an unbiased view. Take off your blue glasses and see what has really happened with your culture. I mean hell, you're still the only school ever to be forced by the NCAA to install barriers between the seats and visiting sideline!

When it comes to fan etiquette, your fans are no better or worse than ours. Just depends on which team is hosting.

Both schools’ students have gotten a little carried away at times. The goalpost through the bus incident was a freak accident that I thought gave some of our fans a bad name at the time. I will say that the most high schoolish, rude trash talk I’ve ever heard at a game has been from Ga Southern fans and WCU fans, but GS takes the cake since they have more fans and a more recent football culture. I see GS historically as a football school and App as a really good school with really good football. That’s the difference. We probably have fewer students who care as much about football and the rivalry although they do attend games and support the team. It’s just a different academic profile and university culture than Statesboro.

Your fans are way out of line and that needs to be addressed. I spent one very long game on the sidelines at your place and I will say it is the only place I will never go back to. Your comment of bad fans everywhere is also a silly statement. I have been to an awful lot of stadiums and would go back to every one of them except one. That should tell you something. Now you can come back with something or you can just think about it. Now you folks have a problem but it is up to you folks if you want to do something about it. We are talking about ways to solve ours. You?

Yes, there were many of us disappointed in the student section chants and no fans/opposing teams should ever be abused. It is being addressed going forward, and I appreciate that y’all recognize your problems too. As far as not coming back, that’s your choice, but that’s weak sauce.

The last game Georgia Southern won in the series was nearly the same score. What happened the following three match-ups? Thomas was injured, Fehr made a bone headed play and was rightfully ejected per the targetting rule, Jalin Moore was injured. Derrick should've been pulled following his second drive. Penalties, penalties, penalties.

All in all, the game wasn't as bad as the score indicates for App given the circumstances. Without those injuries and the ejection, the game likely ends differently. P

The goal post was absolutely not intentional. Almost no one could see where they were going, and most of the few who could were trying to steer the herd away from the bus. Folks in the back of the pack didn’t even know the post had gone into the bus until after the damage was done.

Rushing the field is not something for us to complain about. Our fans have done that on a number of occasions.
