When we realized beating an in conference opponent in a game that ultimately doesn’t guarantee or promise anything more was juvenile

Good games guys. Just saying Duck ain't all that. Our corners proved it. If Zac wasn't injured. Y'all probably would have kept the game closer. Again good game and best wishes for the rest of season.

It we'll cost you. Couldn't afford me. Georgia Southern is an easy sell. Win, win ,win.AppStateMtneer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 10:04 pmHow do you become a moderator on our board? Seems like we could use some more.

Re: Duck needs to refocus
2003. I remember it well because I had to ride the bus back to Statesboro that had the window knocked out from the goal post being rammed through it.
I was a career back up OL. Started one game - against App my senior year (04) when we won 50-7 or something like that. That goal post incident was a huge motivator (not that we ever really needed it for App). But I definitely remember the common refrain from coaches being “Georgia Southern doesn’t tear down goalposts for regular season wins. We tear them down for National Championships.” But I don’t blame the fans for tearing it down - we had won 4 in a row at that point (including 2 in the same season - 01).
There is a special place of hatred in me for App, but at the same time, I have tremendous amount of respect for y’all and recognize what a good program you have. I love this rivalry and hope it’s good for forever. Y’all are a very good team. I want us to always both be in the hunt for the conference title when we meet.
I’m 100% confident y’all won’t lose another game this year if your QB comes back. Your D is legit. I hope we don’t lose one so there isn’t the possibility of a tie-breaker - I really want the first SBC championship game to be played in Statesboro - just as I know y’all want it to be in Boone.
I look forward to going to the game next year in Boone. Love that town - used to go to App wrestling camp while in high school. My uncle owns a cabin really close too.
This is a great rivalry. I wish we could play on a Saturday again (I don’t think we ever will) and lure Gameday to the Boro or to Boone. Hell, it’s been to Fargo so they should come to one of our places for this game.

I’m getting old. I could’ve sworn that was in 1999. And thanks for the kind words. It’s great that this rivalry is back. We were starting to take it for granted (present company included), and we were rudely reminded that y’all ain’t Western Carolina.cb76 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 26, 2018 8:25 am2003. Eh, I wouldn't call it arrogance. Just simply swagger. But he does need to work on not drawing penalties.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 7:39 pmA few weeks now I’ve watched Duck trash talk and strut around. Well after that muffed punt he needs to shut up and play hard. I don’t mind confidence but not arrogance that makes you not as good

I don't recall one WR with a catch on Duck? Maybe he had the WR covered all night. Guess you were to busy with your Fuck App State chant!! Rushing the field over a regular season game? SMH!! Oh wait, guess you thought you won the National championship.

So did your corners cover Duck or did he cover your corners? Just trying to discern how your corners “proved” anything.

Re: Duck needs to refocus
EF has to be about 13 years old coming to an opponents message board to pump his little birdy chest...His team and the referees kicked our team's butt that was missing 3 key players. Congratulations EF. Bet if ZT played the full game we wouldn't be seeing you on here?

Re: Duck needs to refocus
EF, congratulations to Georgia Southern on the win. Your team played well and on that night, deserved to win. Let's not be stupid though. GS got incredibly lucky in catching App on the worst day conceivable. The game Thursday didn't expose Duck as anything other than human. We are very happy that you love your own DBs and we're happy to let you keep them.
Enjoy the win. Show a little class occasionally. Good luck the rest of the way. You're likely to need it.

Re: Duck needs to refocus
Why is Joe Dirt from GSU still hanging around? Slow week in the trailer park? Statesboro Carnival layoffs? Doesn't a middle-aged drifter have anything better to do? I guess not.
Re: Duck needs to refocus
Yep, the Duck must be overrated and not a major significance in your defense. Funny your own board member brought up a refocus issue. He was a non factor against us. But overall, you guys were good, Kudos and y'all will be tough in the Rock.

Re: Duck needs to refocus
You threw three passes. One towards Duck and it was incomplete -- that's 100% for Duck. Saying he was not a major significance is like saying Werts is an insignificant special teams player. Pretty hard to have any significance when the opposing team doesn't do what your position is made to defend.

Like I said guys good game. Could have gone either way. But we won thanks!
Re: Duck needs to refocus
So I was off by 1. But surely I thought you'd get at least 21. We even gave you that last 7. And you still managed only 14?
