Re: Board of trustees
completely agree. its great for the candidates who may not be offered the job or don't want their employer finding out about their interest, but completely annoying for us as fans.Rick83 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:23 amYou know, I'm both highly impressed and a little annoyed that our athletic department has kept the wraps on who this guy is so well. I know they have their reasons and they're doing it the right way but the suspense is killing me and impacting my work performance as I'm checking this board way too often...I hate wait!
I don't know if it is our AD doing a great job of concealing the process or just lower interest from the outside when compared to UL, and other "big" programs but virtually no credible leaks that I can tell so far. I WANT TO KNOW

The UNCC debacle shows that keeping private information private until the appropriate time is a good thing. The way he has kept this matter airtight, we may lose DG to Washington DC before another university. We will know very soon. Until then, just be impressed our AD hasn’t let it turn into a cluster.

The flight from Tuscaloosa to Charlotte is a one way trip for the passenger. Plane flies right back to Tuscaloosa after it drops off the person(s). It is possible Gillin is using Charlotte as his base of operations while snow in the mountains melts? The plane is owned by a nursing agency, but that doesn't mean they don't just own the plane as a revenue stream.

You should go full on SEC fan crazy and just call the nursing agency to find out what the plan is used for!ComebackShack wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:57 amThe flight from Tuscaloosa to Charlotte is a one way trip for the passenger. Maybe the new hire is so old and decrepit that he needs a nurse. Or maybe we hired a nurse. Many possibilities.

Gillin offered the job to Hudspeth, but he couldn't find Boone to sign the contract.

NHS MANAGEMENT LLC
Their phone number is on google haha.
An SEC fan would call pretending to be a Gattis Assistant and requesting info on what refreshments will be available on the flight because Gattis only drinks Pepsi products (a true Mountaineer at heart)

Two things I do know, it's not Joe Gibbs and it's not Tim Horton.
The rest of it has just been a throbbing in my brain!

If Gattis only drinks Pepsi products, I would begin to doubt his decision making. He would immediately lose credibility.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 10:21 amNHS MANAGEMENT LLC

Re: Board of trustees
You are right. I was told that by a couple of people who don't have an agenda. Personally, I think App would be lucky to have him.Rick83 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 8:20 amIf the "failed background check" is fake news it's really not cool to start that kind of rumor for anybody...much less the man that might become our head coach. I don't know anything about Gattis except that Penn State didn't want to lose him and Nick Saban wanted him. Based on that alone he seems highly capable. Also, I'm guessing that he had to pass background checks at Penn St and Alabama especially with the mess Penn State has had to deal with. Please don't post items of that nature unless you have first hand knowledge (meaning you are part of the process or have seen the report yourself).
Not cool, especially since player and recruit families read these boards. Would you want to send your son to play for someone with a questionable (yet unknown) background check item? Even if it's cleared up later and proven to be false, people tend to remember things like that and it can follow someone around, especially if they didn't see or hear the clarification. This is stupid board chatter for us but it involves someone's life and reputation...so please be careful.
Having said that, I'm not worried about DG making a good hire. It's not normal for fans to like the AD but people love him.
