They have like 7 guys that post on that site. And no matter what, they always downplay our success.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 3:52 pmUNCC is the NCAA champion of mental gymnastics!

It’s not worth worrying about them but it’s a testament to how bad they’ve been.
That’s said, we’d be wise to ignore them completely. I find the bulk of their non internet fans to be realistic and engaged supporters that understand the college football landscape. I find those that post on niner and CSN to be absolute idiots with little grasp on reality. Even more so than most internet fans.
I’d be much more interested in the perspective of our peers.

I bet it eats them alive that we are a smaller school with smaller funding that has better academics and a far superior football program.

I am quite close with many key figures in their program, they are definitely aware of their status and most have a ridiculous level of respect for App State and what we have done. Posters on that board...... well, bless their little hearts.ah59396 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 4:05 pmThey have like 7 guys that post on that site. One thing I don’t do is HIDE behind a blog. This is the One and Only Hollywood. I’ve given my opinion and you can love it or hate it. But at the end of the day If You Didn’t Leave Your Blood and Guts in Kidd Brewer Stadium as my teammates and I did you can keep your opinions to yourself. I’ve had the opportunity to get up close and personal with our current AD, and he is killing the SUPPORT that has been undying from those of us who wore the Black&Gold. And if you believe this is still not me feel free to contact me via email at FUTFIBAL@GMAIL.COM.

Those guys are obsessed with us. I especially love how our program is on the precipice of mediocrity. One bad year and all the progress we've made over the last 80 is wiped out, haha.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 3:52 pmUNCC is the NCAA champion of mental gymnastics!

The whole chain is high comedy. Whats especially funny is their fans donate less, and their athletic program relies on a higher percentage of student athletic fees than ours, and they've convinced themselves its the opposite.
God bless the small group of fans they have, they really are die-hards.

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz
The culture at Appalachian State is more than just the players who were on the field. We are all family here, but I think that is a little pompous and elitist to make that comment. One of the things that makes App State so special is the undying support of ALL alumni, not just former players, who give their financial and physical support of this program year in and year out. Name another SunBelt team that brings thousands to most road games. Hell, we practically took over Charlotte this year....Futfibal wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 4:09 pmOne thing I don’t do is HIDE behind a blog. This is the One and Only Hollywood. I don’t know DG personally, but in his short time here, he has brought a lot of great things to App State.

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz
We'll know next year if it was a really bad hire. If he loses more than 2 games next year = bad hire.
Like someone else said earlier... he just got the keys to our Ferrari! Don't crash it!

This new phase of short term up and coming coaches is new for a lot of guys. It’s going to take some time for some to get used to it. It’s all part of success.

This one time...at band camp...I ran into another player with my trumpet, and spit some blood on the turf.
But my guts stayed fully encased in my body, soooooo.

As long as it was on the field at Kidd Brewer, we will count it.

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz
So Hollywood is mad because a black man wasn't given the job. Seriously? Come on man. This hire had nothing to do with race. The AD did a good job here and he hired who he thinks will get the job done and be the best fit for APP going forward. There was no discrimination or prejudice involved. Hollywood, if your support for APP is contingent upon the university hiring who you think is best, then by all means pull your support and move on. Personally, I am staying on the APP Train! Go APP!
