Yeah it was tongue-in-cheek. With the players we have coming back on D and retaining Desparado I’m just not that worried about our defense plummeting.

Oh, just missed you. I was there (both stores) from ‘02-‘06. Did a little bit of everything for them as well.biggie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 11:47 amBig one mostly, helped out at the small one occasionally. They were in college playoff last two years, so I'd say it's worked pretty well.appstatealum wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 7:57 amWell, it will be entertaining. But ask OU how that works out in the long run...
Here's hoping that Gasp is the defensive "rain man" that everyone says he is.

Fellow Teeter man as well--7 years in HS in Charlotte, Myrtle Beach (summer after I graduated HS) and two stints at the old store in Boone (now Earth Fare) between 88 and 92.
Also, glad we're not Troy. They are very late in the process to lose Neal Brown. Hope (for there sake) that they can retain a internal candidate to hold the pieces together this late...

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Someone made a comment in another thread that we looked terrible in the First Quarter of the NO Bowl. (on offense we did). But, it's all a matter of perspective. Our defense had incredible results in the first quarter. They gave up a fair amount of yards, but held MTSU to 3 points on three trips inside the 30 yard line.
We have a balanced team the excels on both sides of the ball in most games + solid special teams play.

I think you're getting around to making the point that our defense it what kept us in that quarter and allowed us to open up a can on offense later. Had the d not done the heavy lifting, we would have been staring 17-0 in the face at the end of the 1st and the game would have been completely different.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 12:51 pmSomeone made a comment in another thread that we looked terrible in the First Quarter of the NO Bowl. If that's your point, then I completely agree

Maybe but it will require a bold asterisk because of all the idiotic, time wasting unrelated tangents.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 1:33 pmThis is now the most replied post in YC history. Congrats all. Still a LOOONG way to go to get it to most viewed.

Congrats all. I figured it would get there in posts, although the Recruiting thread didn't put in some of the recent filler posts about BBQ, condiments, jokes on coach names, etcComebackShack wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 1:33 pmThis is now the most replied post in YC history. Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Not saying App is Alabama, but look at their margin of victory since Tua took over. If App can get the offense rolling while maintaining defensive performance, which I believe they can even with a quick strike offense, App would be difficult to beat. The Spring Game can't get here soon enough.
