It didn’t sell out at all, actually. UNC’s 2018 Family Weekend was against Pitt and had an announced attendance of 44k (out of 51k).

I don’t expect us to outnumber their fans, but if we have less than 10k there I will be shocked. Personally, I’m hoping for 15k.

I have a kid at UNC and went to family weekend last year. It was horribly attended. Picture above might even be last year's family weekend. That said, there will be plenty of tickets available you will just need to look for them. Craigslist, Stubhub, etc. scalp at gate, etc.

This game sold out so quickly because App fans AND UNC fans, who are more interested in their Heels facing our iconic national football brand than Clemson or arch-rival Duke, flooded the ticket office. No one buys tickets for Family Weekend in June the first moment tickets go on sale.

That is an extremely conservative estimate, IMO. I bet we end up with close to 50/50, especially if they pick up a few early losses to USC and WF

I had some friends who went to that one, and as we were at another outdoor activity that morning, I remember that it was a pretty brutally hot day. That definitely kept some fans home and caused others to leave early.

Here's hoping for an evening kickoff and/or unseasonably mild (and clear) weather.

I’ve been to several family weekends at UNC over the years unfortunately, no they’re not usually well attended. Parents go to town but not the football game. Congratulate away App fans.
