This will not get better unless coach has the balls to fire a guy who never should have been hired.

The refs have really killed us, and defense is almost nonexistent at this point. We very well are at the point of loosing this game.

Lack of Scheme, Lack of Coaching, Lack of Game Plan. 2 weeks in a ROW against FCS comp. It’s horrible.

We’re going to give up 400 yards to Charlotte. Did that once all of last year...against Penn State. The step back this defense has taken can’t be understated. It’s shocking and completely unacceptable.
Dude, we lost Stout, Flory, Duck and Hayes from last year. You can’t expect that we just plug and play with new guys to replicate their production.

This is not an overreaction. It was a bad hire when we made it, it’s a bad hire now. Dude just isn’t a good coach, the evidence is there. Open the debate
STFU!
Lol. You must be fun at parties. Am I right?

Maybe not fire. But a whole lot needs to be fixed within 2 weeks or it will be ugly for the rest of the year.

We have some work to do. The performance reminded me of our FCS days. Sloppy game. Stupid penalties nearly did us in. Or Charlotte has gotten a lot better.

I have to reel in my hopes of beating UNC and South Carolina until further notice.

After week 2, NY6? LMAO.

Our defense was like a bullfighter >>>>>>>>> OLE'

Yeah but that comment, while true, ignores realities. App has 1 senior dl, 3...yes 3 senior linebackers and 2 senior dbs. 8 of 11 starters return and 4 of 5 leading tacklers from last year. We are one of the most experienced teams in the country.

You can just list who we lost...alabama lost Jalen Hurst and 11 starters. It sounds like a huge loss without context.

Sorry my good buddy - your reason doesn't hold - yes, if this had been a quality team but with 7 starters returning and many guys with a lot of playing time and against Charlotte at home - NOPE - Now, no one is going to get fired nor should they but, this was a very poor defensive effort combined with way way too many penalties --- Our speed is still there as we could see when uncc tried to go outside but man, receivers were wide open many times. The two TDs against Jolly (I believe) he had great coverage - they were perfect passes and great catches. We must get better and quickly ---

Certainly a lot of talent to replace, but this performance today was way more than simply missing production. How many slants did they complete without any adjustment? No linebackers dropping back to take away that pass? How many large runs did they have where we didn't plug a gap? How many missed tackles? It's not even just a scheme issue either, it looked like a lack of football 101 out there. Not to mention all the penalties. Make no mistake, this was a very worrisome performance.

When was the last time we gave up that kind of offense and points at home? Miami?

I remember lots of complaints about Nate Woody when he brought his new scheme as well, but I don’t think the d was this bad.

All of the concerns and doubts about Roof were on full display today. NC State was happy to get rid of him, and today showed why. I’m also wondering what happened to this dynamic offense we thought we were getting with Drinkwitz. I certainly hope he’s holding back. If not, these two are going to get us hammered on a weekly basis.

We gave up over 500 yards to Liberty in 2014, and then turned it around.

At least we have an extra week to prepare for UNC.
