Roof doesnt have an App shirt on during this mountaineer talk. That's the first time I've seen a coach without one. I know it's a small detail but it's something I noticed
So what?

What did his hair look like? Were his shoes tied? Did you smell of him?

Probably gets confusing having coached for so many different teams. Best not to wear a team shirt..less chance of wearing the wrong one. Smart move.

I did notice a few smart as..s taking some shots on the Facebook feed. I’ve never really heard Roof talk much but he sounded a bit like a man who has heard the BS. I’m sure he would like to see the defense improve but he probably had to hold back from saying that we are 4-0.

If he doesn't want more BS thrown his way he should have our D prepared to play better

I’ve been critical of him, but I swear the defense could earn a shutout next time out, and some of y’all would complain that the 0 wasn’t round enough.

When you score more, you give up more. Perfect example this years LSU team.

Better than not losing any games? WTF? You have high standards, and that's not a compliment.

There's some really good stuff this week, including Drink explaining going for turnovers over giving up yards starting around 16 minutes in. And later on, Roof says the defense has been inconsistent.

One guy was relentless, posting “fire Roof now!” multiple times and even booing when Roof’s segment began. I’m sure it was distracting for Adam. His computer screen was definitely in view of both coaches and all the players. I was hoping someone would delete his comments and ban him or something. Absolutely insane.

I would want to see negative points from the other team

Like most, I'm concerned about our Defense but the way we are treating Coach Roof is just flat out inappropriate and embarrassing. I don't think our D would have been as good as last year no matter who is coaching. Sure we have a lot of starters returning on D but we lost some players that were more important than many thought. Throw into the mix a more aggressive approach to Offense which most on here have clamored for over the years and deficiencies in the D are going to be more pronounced. R.E.L.A.X. people; we are 4-0. The Defense will get better as younger players get coached up and get more game day experience. Let's just hope the O can mash the accelerator when needed until the D reaches it's potential.

I am not sure how to put the link on here but I found an ESPN ranking for team efficiencies. The title is listed below along with how the teams are ranked. Currently we are ranked number 37. Seems about right to me. Personally I am thinking that if we put it on LA next game and really step up in all phases our ranking would climb close to number 30 or so. Of course I have NO idea. If that is to happen we would probably be close to where we are ranked AP wise.

Team Efficiencies - 2019
Team efficiencies are based on the point contributions of each unit to the team's scoring margin, on a per-play basis. The values are adjusted for strength of schedule and down-weighted for "garbage time" (based on win probability). The scale goes from 0 to 100; higher numbers are better and the average is roughly 50 for all categories. Efficiencies update daily during the season.
