Felt like I was watching a Satterfield led team again, TBH...... Strange. But he leaned on the defense and they delivered. We probably could've blown them out. Real question now is why he refused to feed the ball to Corey on those stacked boxes and single coverage packages....

Apparently he doesn't like the way Corey is practicing.

I've seen practices, Corey goes harder than most. I heard about his off season work too, and it was ubsurd.

I think he is talking about the one called on Jolly (the second one called on us), it was a little iffy to me. I have definitely seen less contact called before but I think our guy was in good position.

Maybe, but Jolly did have his jersey. Did it impeded his progress? No, but a handful of jersey, particularly the back of the jersey, is going to get called everytime.

Yeah the 3rd down PI that extended their only scoring drive at the end of the 2nd quarter. You can call a PI every pass play if that was a flag. Good coverage. Tickey tack. And that level of scrutiny was not applied to their DBs at any point in the game. The line judge had a court side seat to the egregious mugging Sutton received in our final drive, yet another official had to run up from upfield to make the correct call.

I would agree with you IF we were playing the same Stink team from last year. So far this year, GS has looked pretty terrible. Anything can happen at any time, that's why they play the games, but I'm really not worried about Halloween. I think it might end up being similar to the Wofford Halloween game.

I wouldn’t even call it a handful of jersey. He had his hand around the back of the receiver but didn’t pull or push him or turn him in any way. Just had his hand on him to know where he was, and made a great play with his other hand. Terrible call. The no-call on Charles, while I believe it was a good no-call, was much closer to PI

Ted must have lived with those two beautiful sets of game films for the past week and a half.

Credit to him. He went with what worked in the past. I've already sent my request for his autograph via some connections. If I can pull it off.... I'll get him to quote it with "Eat Crow [my name] - Ted Roof"

The team got back to Hickory at 3:13 am and probably 5:15 am or so in Boone, hope the professors and fellow students applaud those in class for the victory!

As it was happening I saw the ref was not going to throw the flag and I was losing my mind; then I saw the little yellow flag enter my screen from the bottom left corner of my television and could breathe again.

They missed some calls , on both ends , seemed to even out.In reality you could likely find an infraction on each play ...

Technically it was the other officials call because typically the contact angle is different, but in this case, Sutton got mugged so bad that both officials should have thrown the flag. Normally.the line judge is responsible for watching the feet and completion of the catch.
