I assume you mean ECU and ECU was never in the SB. SoCon, Independent, CUSA, a few days in the Big East and then AAC. I think was the order since the 1960s.

There are plenty of eggs out there. We just dont need to hatch any of them.

We "laid an egg" because we lost our QB and our MLB early in the game. I'm tired of hearing fans acting like the ranking somehow led to that loss. If we want to be respected as a program we need to be ranked early and often, stop acting like this is somehow a negative thing.

Don't forget the awful officiating. Don't ever forget that!

Being ranked is not a negative thing, but it is also not a goal either, at least at this point in the season it is not. What it is, however, is another incentive to work harder in order to get better so we can work harder in order to get better. Achievement of goals is evaluated at the end of the season.

For what it’s worth, at least a few people who make their livings evaluating college football teams agree that Appalachian is the best football team in North Carolina. This is a very satisfying thought for me at this point.
