SC game - Marching Mountaineers
I’ve heard the athletic department approved enough buses for a pep band at SC. I encourage any of you to contact the athletic department and encourage them to send the entire band. The support would be tremendous. The fight song’s just not the same from a pep band! The members of the band spend a tremendous number of hours for one purpose. To support the team and fans. A letter to Doug Gillin costs you nothing.
Thanks!
Thanks!

94 I think you just like to argue and it looks ridiculous. WTH? If we wanted to send the entire band we would and find the space to do it.

Thanks DAD. The OP reached out for assistance on a cause that was very important to them. I was merely pointing out that it was not logistically feasible to make this request of the AD this close to the game. Geez. If you don't like my comments, just put me on ignore.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 4:33 pm94 I think you just like to argue and it looks ridiculous. WTH? Just presenting the facts: There are 150+ seats available in 6 to 8 sections in the upper decks on both sides and the end zone. Section 509 is a virtual ghost town at this point.
Not the ideal place to seat a band, but it's not logistically impossible.
And for anyone looking for tickets: Unsold uppers are $45 plus fees straight from the Gamecocks/Ticket Master

A pep band is better than no band and a big step in the right direction.

Positive post. Yes there are enough seats .WASU 93 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 6:42 pmJust presenting the facts: There are 150+ seats available in 6 to 8 sections in the upper decks on both sides and the end zone. Section 509 is a virtual ghost town at this point.

Re: SC game - Marching Mountaineers
Let me apologize if my comment was taken as argumentative and divisive. Apparently one person did see it that way and felt it was their duty to police opinions. While I appreciate your passion and understand your desire to have the entire band there, a grassroots email campaign to the AD would not be fruitful at this stage of the process. The time to have asked for this would have been this summer when budgets were planned and ticket allotments were being planned. So to accomplish the goal you are seeking would require either a reshuffling of assigned seats for fans, or purchasing 150 tickets somewhere at the upper reaches of the stadium which would have little to no impact from the BOD. Not to mention the cost of the tickets and transportation for the additional band members on an already tight budget. Once again, sorry.

Re: SC game - Marching Mountaineers
Who's footing the $6750 for tickets? not counting buses, meals, etc. The athletic budget is tight. Would love to have the band there but is it will take fundraising.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 6:42 pmJust presenting the facts: There are 150+ seats available in 6 to 8 sections in the upper decks on both sides and the end zone.
