I hope all of you approach Evans and encourage him to stay in school! He is getting heavy pressure and the idiots out there who have no clue the danger of coming out early in this class are loud. This RB and WR class is one of the best in a long time. Next year won't be nearly as good so he has a better shot to go in the top 100. I'm told he is planning to go but I do hope enough people show him how much we care and encourage him to stay.
Ummmm how about we don't do this. Let the kid, his family, and his coaches make the decision. He couldn't care less about "advice" coming from a fan or fellow student.

Instead, compliment him on an amazing career at ASU and thank him for all the memories. Then in private, hope we get one more season of them.
Here is the thing. These players don't listen to their coaches. I wish they would. Our coaches tried to warn Duck and he did not listen. They are advising Evans to stay because NFL feedback is that he would just be a day 3 pick.

I talked to someone who saw Duck recently and they said he expressed that he wished he had stayed in school. Said he was duped by agents and would rather be on a ranked team than just hoping for a job in the XFL right now. Agents are spitting crap at our players and I feel like the more voices of reason who tell them the truth the better.

Maybe Duck should be the one providing real world advice, rather than some random ass people on a message board.

Duck should be for sure. Players usually don't do that unless a player asks though. I hope he listens to our coaches.

It won't. And no one has mentioned I think the most obvious reason for leaving which is injury. Look at what happened to Jalin.

It should be the player and family who makes the decision, just like it was when they made the choice of where to play in college. APP players made a good decision then so I trust them to do same now!

Stock is relative to the market, no? Right now, Evans is a Day 3 pick, for sure and could fall to UDFA territory depending on how combine testing shakes out. This is largely due to market pressures applied by each position, against each position, based on any number of factors with team needs, talent levels in the draft, etc.

Knowing Drink, there is going to be an entire new layer to the offense not seen this season that would likely exploit the talent of a running back in formation. If Drink could guarantee that Evans is used in a similar way to how the Carolina Panthers use McCaffrey, which isn't out of the question, his stock could rise tremendously. He isn't going to get time to work on his game in the NFL the same way a Day 1 or Day 2 pick does.

Heard he just finalized his surgeon search. Looks like he is getting things done as quickly as possible so he can get on the rehab ASAP. He is a strong and resiliant kid. He will bounce back quick and with a vengeance.

Darrynton is more than a RB in this draft. He is 1 injury away from not getting a shot at all. He can come back to school a finish a degree later. I really dont see how he can pass up the draft. If he finds a good agent and there are someoutthere he will be 4th rd

I think he improved significantly over last year so I have no question he could continue to improve. Look at the weight and muscle mass that he was able to put on between last season and this without losing his speed. If people remember, the talk all last off season was that Evans wasn't an every down between the tackles kind of runner because he wasn't big and bulky enough. Well, nobody says that anymore because of what he did during the off season. So yes, I think he can improve with another year of college under his belt. Mind you, I am just answering your question. Whether he decides to go is purely his decision and I wouldn't begin to give advise to him on that front even though I think an extra year could benefit him.

I completely agree with you and all your points make perfect sense. At the same time the flip side of the coin; he had a front row seat for Jalins injury how that one play almost prevented Jalin from going to the NFL. It's a very tough decision, but as we all know it is his to make. We are obviously better with him and I would love nothing more than have number 3 one more year. Regardless of his decision he will be a legend on the Mountain for years to come and I personally plan on enjoying the next few games he plays knowing they may be his last.

I still don't believe he is the ideal between the tackles back. It would seem Marcus Williams Jr. and Cam Peoples fit that mold better than anyone else we've seen in action yet. This is why I suggested that Evans could benefit from one more season in Drinks offense where more layers are added involving him in the passing game.

Based on how plays have unfolded this season, Drink's offensive philosophy and playbook is like an onion. Layers will be peeled over the next two seasons until he gets the installation to where he wants it to be, I believe. Having Anderson and Evans with an entire offense to scheme ways to get them out into space more would raise Evans stock tremendously.

Evans’ running at times is so smooth. He is one of the most dynamic backs I’ve seen on the mountain. The fact that he added 15lbs and did not seem to lose a step is impressive.

A quick look at the leading rushers shows Evans around 14th. He should get an extra game over several in front of him so if he can grab another 300 yards he can finish easily in the top 10 in the country
