Wasn't post season parking free for YC members last year as a perk for giving?

What’s the benefit of being YC members? Seems like it would be cheaper to buy tickets a game at a time, as they seem to run specials on lower attended games anyway. At least let you get the best Available spot for your $30. I’m not paying $30 to park in legends, when I could pay $20 for a closer pay lot.

I agree. That’s a little BS! The game won’t be sold out. Attendance will be decent if not raining so will be plenty of spaces to park. Can park in town lot for $20! I went Through with it online to get my tickets reserved but will be calling Yosef and ticket office in am to complain and prolly remove it.

Guess we need the money pretty bad. Hope everyone will come and support the team regardless.

The benefit of being in the YOSEF club is that you help provide scholarships to App students...personally, I dont have a big issue with $30 to park as at least I know it's going to the program.

I’d rather they charge more for the tickets between the 25s than charge for parking, the optics just aren’t good.

My guess is we have to give ticket sales to the sunbelt but we get to keep the parking $.

Look closely ... $30 PARKING to a spot that should be free to you as a Yosef member and season ticket holder. Worst decision in YEARS!!!!
Agreed. NIce way to treat the people who invest in season tickets and give to Yosef. Garbage move
Is that an App State Decision or a Sun Belt Decision? If it's an App State decision, it's a revenue grab (which is bad business). I don't need my Season Ticket spot for a Noon Kickoff.

$30 for a single game parking pass seems steep to me. All those with grandiose dreams of infrastructure improvements be mindful of our revenue status. Perhaps the reason we didn't send cheerleaders to Ga State?

I'd still refer you back to last year..https://appstatesports.com/news/2018/11 ... -info.aspx
IF it's a Sun Belt decision, then THAT needs to be communicated!!!!

Note about paying for parking for SBC game - 1) should we get to host the game, App will incur expenses to do so, 2) last year we had only had 5 home games with the So. Miss cancellation, so we hadn't spent our full season's worth of game management funds, 3) should there be excess funds from the parking fee, the funds will go directly to help fill in the scholarship fund deficit.

Scholarship fund deficit? Yes! The total scholarship bill is roughly $6,000,000. Yosef donations are under $4,000,000.

Please think of the $30 parking fee as an investment in future championships. Thanks.

I would assume that there's a cost to hosting games and ticket and parking fees cover the costs and hopefully some left over for improvements and general operating costs. App is not a "for profit" enterprise and we are woefully behind in funding. I believe UL's coach Napier gets paid more than our coach Drink...which is ridiculous in my opinion.
$30? That didn't even cover dinner last night for me, my wife, and son...even before tip. If you don't like it just go park in a public lot for the $20, it's a $10 difference...this merits a "come'on man."
The Yosef Club and university do amazing things with the limited resources they have available.

GUYS!

IF WE WANT TO CONTINUE TO MOVE UP AND PLAY IN BIG GAMES AND HOPEFULLY MOVE UP TO A BIGGER AND BETTER CONFERENCE, IT COSTS MONEY. WE ARE NO WHERE NEAR AN AAC BUDGET.

STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT PARKING FOR $30 AND BUY YOUR TICKETS AND PARKING! CONTRIBUTE A LITTLE EXTRA TO ATHLETICS!!

IF YOU WANT TO WIN IT COSTS MONEY, IF YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH THE BIG BOYS, IT COSTS MONEY. WHO DO YOU THINK WILL BE PAYING THE MONEY????!!!!!

DON'T LOOK AT IT AS AN EXPENSE, LOOK AT IT AS AN INVESTMENT.

Sorry for yelling.

I know our total giving is sad frankly compared to what it should be, and we are woefully short of fully funding scholarships, however I still think charging Yosef members $30 to get their parking spot for an extra game is a bad decision. Kind of a slap in the face to the ones that are already doing our part. Didn’t we used to get a “playoffs” parking pass in our Yosef package which was at times used for multiple postseason games? Anyway, not the biggest issue in the world, but disappointed they went this route.

How much do we suppose that $30 is going to raise in the grand scheme of things?

Agreed. It is more the principle than the cost per se. Moreover, why are those who already giving to Yosef asked to pay more? It's not our fault that we have such a low give rate among our alumni.
