We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Since we get the bump, we should ask one end zone be painted App State and the other ECU or Mountaineers Pirates. Stipulate they stay painted that way for the Saturday game.
Or H & H games from both Clemson and Georgia within ten years for App and ECU. First game home games for App and ECU.

Seems we get screwed in this about either way.
Yep, I see boatloads of the possible local interest fans who may have to come to App ECU as a Saturday game just for something to do, now will balk at attending our match and choose to attend and spend at
the other instead. Sad

This May seems like it sucks from the first look. However, it’s opening weekend. Chances are our game would not have been a national televised game on Saturday. Thursday will likely only have one other game so we could get ESPN 2. And it is now guaranteed night game.A lot cooler. We would have most likely gotten noon kick off and I have been to panthers game at 1 first of September and it’s hotter than Hell! Left at half.
Plus, Great excuse to take off Thursday and Friday for a nice Thursday lunch tailgate and don’t Labor Day weekend! I’m getting into it!

According to the agreement, unless both parties agree to different amounts, ticket prices are as follows:
Club level 1 - $125
Club level 2 - $115
Lower level - $90
Upper level - $65
This has been one of the reasons that I have not been real excited about the game in Charlotte. In 2017, tickets for NC State/South Carolina followed a similar pay scale (I assume a promoter is making some serious money on these match-ups).
in 2019. Gamecock Club Members were able to pay a reduced price of $59 for the North Carolina game. Hopefully, Yosef Club Members/Season Ticket Holders will receive the same treatment and our students will be taken care as they are with traditional home games

I believe that the games that you speak of were all neutral site games. Thus, the promoter dictates the price. This is a home game for App. Seems reasonable that we get to set the prices for the game.

I’m more concerned about the price of a student ticket. I would also like to see us work with the Foundation to get our students behind the bench just like we do at the Rock.

This is the best idea yet. Even if they won’t go for it fully, give us an H&H with one, ECU gets the other. That makes it a fair trade for bumping the game. It won’t happen, but it’s a fantastic idea and I hope both us and ECU suggested it.
Give 'em hell!

On this topic, I get the picture, but it is sad that in today's world there are no ethics, loyalty in anything. You will always get bumped aside for the almighty buck as the reason when your the little guy. Integrity does not exist anymore.
KICK ASS!!!

I respect that some are trying hard to point out the "silver lining" in this situation but the bottom line is that this sucks! This issue has a direct impact on the Mountaineer athletic budget unless some sort of compensation can be included in the deal.
From a personal stand point, it doesn't impact me much. I work walking distance from the stadium and will be there regardless. Hopefully, part of the deal will be some "promotional" pricing in order to get butts in the seats. It would seem that everyone benefits from doing that since the stadium will have concession income from the additional attendance also. I guess we will see.

App could certainly offer promotional pricing by, say, packaging this with a home game or two at a discount. I saw offers like that for the UNC-South Carolina game last year. But that would require Gillin to back off his “no mini-season plans” position.

For any season ticket holders worried about the price, remember this game will be part of our season ticket package (and contractually ECU's as well, interestingly). If you already buy season tickets, you'll have them for this game.

Included in the price of season tickets doesn't mean they'll be cheap. I could see this backfiring on driving up season tickets unless the ECU tickets are discounted.

I don't know what schools like UNC or USC (when they played in Charlotte on Thursday) have done in the past, but I think a Thursday night, neutral site game definitely warrants academic scheduling changes (i.e. cancelling classes), especially for ECU students. UTK did it when we played them at home. The admins at both institutions have more than enough time to plan for this!

So, there'll be 7 games included in the 2021 season ticket package? If so, I'd expect the cost to be increased unless we're being tossed a bone...

At our level, no bone to be tossed, program needs the funds from it. I'd include it in the package and raise the cost, and hopefully it goes back down the next year.

They cancelled for the Basketball Game last night, feel certain they'll do the same for football.

The 4 teams actually share 2 colors, App and GA, black, Clemson and ECU purple. I can see some end zone designs that could work. Paint one end zone purple with “pirates” in white and one black with “maintainers” in white. Then for the Saturday game you could easily paint over the white script and put in the orange paw and the red GA.

I was kind of deciding when I wanted to retire. With both ECU and Wake being weeknight games now, I've decided it will be June or July of 2021. I always plan my vacations and time off around App football (and golf courses I want to play) anyway.
