Yosef Club Donation Thread
In addition to my normal giving, I just donated $100 to the Yosef Club. Will you match my donation? If you can't, just donate what you can and comment here that you donated. I want to see this thread reach 50 donation comments. Our program needs this very much right now. Thanks!

Re: Yosef Club Donation Thread
It has been suggested that the YC is running about a $1m short from last years totals.

Re: Yosef Club Donation Thread
Seriously?! A million?! By my estimates, that’s a deficit of 2-3 hundred dollars per active donor!... Or did we have a big donor or two step up last year? Anyway, WE ALL need to do whatever we can!!! This pandemic stuff sucks more every day. I’ve got a 2019 grad working for me, and it’s just so hard to get thru how much of a difference 5 or 10 dollars a month makes. Regretfully (especially now), I was the same way for years, and that’s what I’m trying to instill in them. Thanks for this post!

And I know things are tough all over right now... But to see this kind of decline after a 13-1 football season?! If this season doesn’t happen at all, that’s no reason to stop giving! SMH, and scared to death!booneboy92 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 3:26 pmSeriously?! A million?! By my estimates, that’s a deficit of 2-3 hundred dollars per active donor!... Re: Yosef Club Donation Thread
Yosef Club contributions are generally linked (for many folks) with season ticket sales. No games or potentially no games means no tickets selling and no YC contributions. Hopefully folks will come through with contributions. Lots of people are out of work right now also. It's ugly from any angle you look.

I wonder what percentage of season ticket holders who have already re-upped will just let their purchases ride to the YC if this season doesn’t happen?Yosef84 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 3:41 pmYosef Club contributions are generally linked (for many folks) with season ticket sales. I am no longer a season ticket holder, but I still upped my donation this season. Hoping to do some more throughout the year.
Give 'em hell!

Nice work, Sprayberry. You're doing a far better job promoting YC than YC does promoting itself.
I didn't know they were so far behind in donations. I'll check the kitty tomorrow and see if we've got a few dollars for the Club.

I love it! Let's keep the momentum going. That's $300 (or more) that YC has generated today they otherwise wouldn't have received. Who's going to be next? It doesn't have to be $100. Every dollar counts.

Re: Yosef Club Donation Thread
Hopefully everyone who can afford it does...and gives additional if possible. I know things are tight here because my wife got laid off at the beginning of this thing, but we are fortunate because I'm able to work from home and haven't been impacted so we're doing ok. I've already renewed my YC for the year and I'll have see what I can do.booneboy92 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 3:55 pmI wonder what percentage of season ticket holders who have already re-upped will just let their purchases ride to the YC if this season doesn’t happen?Yosef84 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 3:41 pmYosef Club contributions are generally linked (for many folks) with season ticket sales. Re: Yosef Club Donation Thread
I'm retired but I maintain my current level giving. I can't afford any more I'm glad to see those who can give more, do so.
I started a Yosef Club and Former Athlete's Association thread a while back. Here is what I posted and hope it will encourage others, as well as encourage former athletes to join up.
I want to encourage everyone to be sure to join the Yosef Club if you're not already a member. If you are a member encourage others who are not a member to join. The Former Athletes' Association is a part of Yosef as well. The FAA gets $30 of your YC membership to help us with: senior awards, letters, letter jackets, Hall of Fame breakfast and program, and the the athletic achievement recognitions at the APPSPYs Awards Banquet. Student-athletes, coaches, administration and staff all attend to applaud another year of accomplishments for the Mountaineers. If you are a former athlete be sure to note that on your membership when contacting the Yosef Club.
If a lump sum donation is not feasible you can set up a monthly bank draft (as I have always done). Just think: if every alumnus would commit to $10/month to the Yosef Club our athletes would not be in this predicament (referencing the elimination of track and soccer teams).
Thanks for reading and always remember: If you're lucky enough to be a Mountaineer you're lucky enough!

We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Re: Yosef Club Donation Thread
Donated $200. It's kind of shocking how low our donations are, not just this year, but year in and year out. Not sure what the fix for that is though.
