Re: Turf Replacement Pics
I was in the stadium when the original field turf was being installed. Final summer concert was LeAnn Womack in the stadium. Most of the turf was down and the rubber was being added and watered. It was all a new thing back then and I didn't realize what was involved with the rubber installation. Kind of interesting to see it in process.

Per Ask the AD - January 2020, “ At the other end of Kidd Brewer Stadium, work will begin to widen the pedestrian walkway that circles the south end, and regrading Miller Hill will bring it closer to the field while making it less steep. The removal of the track in Kidd Brewer Stadium is scheduled to begin in May, and new turf will be installed this summer.”NashvilleNeer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 3:42 pmwhat's the hill going to look like? anyone have any idea?

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
If you expand the picture taken from above the walkway from NEZ to west stands, there is what looks like a concrete form in front of the stands. You can also see what looks like rebar sticking up. I wonder what that could be.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how great the field looks. That A is cool. Time to redo / undo the wrap on the walls and get that looking good like the rest of KBS.

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
That concrete form running along the west stands is actually a trench drain system. I’m hoping the turf will be extended to the stands and this trench drain will be a means to get rid of water.

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
I gotcha, i appreciate it. I remember reading that, but wasn't sure if there were any other updates since then. As much as i dislike this program i'm about to mention, i wish we could do something like Missouri has done with their hill. I'm not in construction, but i would imagine that to be pretty difficult with the way everything else is in the stadium.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 4:03 pmPer Ask the AD - January 2020, “ At the other end of Kidd Brewer Stadium, work will begin to widen the pedestrian walkway that circles the south end, and regrading Miller Hill will bring it closer to the field while making it less steep. Re: Turf Replacement Pics
Get rid of the tacky siding on the sidelines and I'll be happy. I know that it's covering up unsightly concrete, but that's better than what we have right now. The siding looks cheap, with fonts and colors that don't match the rest of our brand. They either need an upgrade or need to go altogether.

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
I'm actually okay with the vinyl branding on the sideline walls, especially compared to the almost-white concrete underneath, but I agree that an update is now definitely needed, especially after seeing the new turf going in with the University Gold shade of yellow. The difference is substantial. I really wish we could work something out with Nike to acquire the rights to use the University Gold campus/university-wide, as I GREATLY prefer it to our standard Pantone Yellow...but I'm not sure what all that would entail.8993 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:40 pmGet rid of the tacky siding on the sidelines and I'll be happy. To each his own and I respect your opinion...but I love the message and the look of the sideline wraps!8993 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:40 pmGet rid of the tacky siding on the sidelines and I'll be happy. Re: Turf Replacement Pics
Man O man, I see a lot of different “gold” colors going on in this picture. Which one is the real Pantone 116. End zone looks more like Pantone 130 to me.appstate24 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 4:41 pmCheck out Coach Clark’s Twitter. Updated photos. I agree. I’ve got no problem with the siding. All golds need to match. Love the end zone.

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
Wow, just now seeing the Endzone, I can’t stand that orangey gold...I don’t understand why the university can’t stick with the yellow gold instead of the orangey gold, it looks so much better.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 7:22 pmMan O man, I see a lot of different “gold” colors going on in this picture.
