I’m supposed to be up there Thursday. Just curious (for anyone who’s been there recently)... How close can u actually get for pix? I would guess from the top of the road on either side?

Lol... I got a good phone!... Just don’t know how to use it!!! U weren’t sh*ttn’ when u said “Prepare to be amazed”, or “Pix don’t do it justice”! I’m here at the hotel now, trying to upload pix taken from inside the Athletics Center! We drove up there through the construction to find the front door open! Went into the lobby/trophy room, and stood there in awe (I had never been in there before)! Wow! Anyway, took a lot of pix (inside and out), including black toilet with gold plumbing (complete with an embossed block A on top!)!!! A staff member came through, and didn’t tell us we weren’t supposed to be in there till I asked... Said the door was open only so athletes/staff didn’t have to touch it going in/out. BTW, I really like the two tone turf! Anybody got detailed instructions for posting pix?... even though you can’t imagine without seeing it for Yosef?!?!

Okay Booneboy92, we are waiting on your pics from today....

And it's ok if they were taken with a flip phone. Pixelation is better than no pictures at all.

Looks like a good 10 yds wide. I think it will be useful both during practice and on game days. No more dance team and cheerleaders on the track. That’s like 3,200 more square yards of available turf.

My observations from today. Not exactly sure what the purpose of the asphalt edge is but I guess there could be several purposes including future adding a couple of rows towards field?? Who knows? NEZ is way behind. I realize the building wasn’t supposed to be completely finished but based on 30 years of construction experience I just don’t see it happening. Based on conference decisions my guess is Morgan State game if replaced will be a road game giving the contractors a couple of extra weeks to get closer to getting a certificate of occupancy to even let the public in. Again, just my observations and thoughts so take it for what it’s worth.

When our group stopped by the stadium yesterday, the thought was that the asphalt ribbon could be for mobile platform sideline cameras which are used for some TV broadcasts. The ribbon would also facilitate emergency vehicles getting near a player (and out) on the Miller Hill side of the field if left as is.

I have no construction experience but even I was starting to wonder just last week if the NEZ would be finished on time. From what I know, they planned to have the first and top floors complete so they could have it ready for game day but then the rest of the building would be finished in the fall. Just seems like they still have lots to finish on the outside of the building.
This could also be because we are now less than 30 day til ball and I’m being impatient lol

Keep in mind we haven’t replaced the Morgan State game yet. So until that happens, they have more time to complete things. Our first home may be Sept 26 unless we can find some fillers.
