I do apologize for the typo mistake. I just think some on here are vastly underestimating this team based on last years results. We have a much upgraded roster this year. We have 5 Sr O Line with 2 NFL O Line prospects. We have a fantastic backfield and a new QB who can find open WR.

If our D that has players back from last years injuries can contain your Off then I think MU wins the day.

I mean no offense to any of you. I am so happy this series is alive. Heck, I wish App State, Ga Souther and MU were all in the same conference.
To your point, you are underestimating App based on game 1 in rain like I haven’t seen for a long time. That game should have had 2 more TD for us and 1 less for them. We dominated them in stats, but mistakes kept them in it.

We’re not offended by your comments.

Mountaineers - 35
Herders - 28

Mistakes that were made as a result of on-field discipline (jumping the gun & roughing the kicker) are easily corrected. They happened at inopportune times. Some mistakes were due to weather, which shouldn't be much of an issue. I think the team gels together well under Clark, so we'll see a motivated unit ready to prove to themselves they can do better.

We pop them in the mouth early and dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides.

Nobody here should be offended that you believe your team can/will win. As a fan, that's what you're supposed to believe! At this point, these teams look pretty evenly matched. As App fans, we firmly believe that we got our ugly/sloppy game out of our systems last week and will look more like App is supposed to look. I don't think Marshall was bad last year and probably could have given us a great game. The issue last year was inconsistency for the Herd. It is yet to be determined whether that question has been answered. I do think Marshall has found an answer at QB but let's not forget he is a freshman.

I never make a score prediction but I hope both teams play their A game and we see a great game. If that happens, I think App wins in a slugfest. We will know tomorrow evening!

Don't apologize for believing in your team. I believe it'll be a great game. I don't believe you'll shut down our running game. I do believe App will win in a good contest. I believe I still hate Marshall. I believe we should all have a great weekend, but the Apps will have a slightly better one!

No offense taken here brother. You are far from the first poster to be wrong on this board. You should read our private threads! This will be a fun rivalry to get going again. Furman still sucks, Marsha swallows!

I'm not going to venture a score but if we play up to our potential and standard we win. If we play like last week we lose.

App 35
MU 20

With the blocked FG, fumble at goal line, and special teams TD hopefully not all happening again, that’s a good deal of points. The concord game was much closer than it should been.
Marshals OL and running back worries me more than the young QB at this point. He looked great and has the hype but still unproven. Our defense is solid at all levels and should be able to hold MU. If the offense clicks and is balanced, we should be fine.
The negative side of me feels like we’re due for a loss at some point and this one does make me nervous for some reason. But I trust in coach he hasn’t let us down yet.
