Marcus Williams Jr getting some pub
Just saw this on msn, it lists top 15 players to watch this week. Honestly, I think its pretty shoddy work as several of the players won't even play due to canceled games but it does give Williams a nod. Surprising amount of SunBelt players on this list, and again, not sure I agree with the ones this author picked out.

Not sure I'd say the other 2 are any less capable at breaking off long runs though.

Not sure how much he'll play this weekend. I think he had the more lingering after effects from the Charlotte game.

Henry Pearson is "doubtful". Everyone else practiced this week.

No doubt we will miss Pearson, excellent blocker but Evans showed up last week after Person went down.

Re: Marcus Williams Jr getting some pub
Just watched the post game interview with Clark.
He doesn’t know why Marcus didn’t play. Our head football coach does not know why his starting RB is in street clothes.
Still not ready for a little panic?

That answer was odd, no question. If the decision was made to sit him at half time, Clark should have been informed at the very least. Coach Clark could benefit from a little coaching himself on press responsibilities. That isn't surprising for a first time head coach. Post game pressers have to be tougher after a loss. But we have bigger fish to fry right now.

Re: Marcus Williams Jr getting some pub
I have a different take on Clarks response. I think that Coach knew exactly the reason but he didn't agree with the reason. Williams had been medically cleared but must have spoken up about not being able to play. So Clark threw the reporters question back to Williams to answer. Clearly Coach feels that if you are medically cleared to play, you should play and he isn't going to sit and make excuses for the player that chose not to play. Not sure the optics are good but that is what I think happened here.

Coach should have players backs in public. Get after them in private.
