ECU game in Charlotte
I've heard ECU is planning a HUGE tailgate event before the game on Sept. 2nd. Not sure what plans, if any, ASU has for this event? Season ticket holders and Yosef Club members may need to make some noise. It would be a shame if we don't make the most of this opportunity. If we're going to run with the big dogs, we need to up our game!

I believe that there will be an alumni tailgate in Charlotte, as well as, Miami and Georgia St.

Yes, but from what I've heard it's a nothing comparable to what ECU is doing. I have a good source.

Who cares what ECU does at a freakin tailgate. FYI I have one planned for about 30 people. I don’t want to be around that unvaccinated bunch of necks anyway.

ECU fans just need more help from their school to put together a tailgate. App fans are much more self-sufficient.

First ECU is not a "Big Dog"
Second I feel sure we will be well represented in the tailgating dept.
Third What really matters is the final score
Let's "make the most of this opportunity" by winning with class

Completely get the point that App should organize a nice big event for those who want to attend.
Also agree that it doesn't personally affect me, as I'd generally rather do my own thing than go to a planned, catered event.

App alumni tailgates are generally not well attended. There is a reason they don't throw "big" tailgates. App fans would rather do their own thing. This isn't news to anybody.

ECU is one school that is difficult to beat in pregame festivities. They embrace their mascot.

Any idea on how ticket sales are going? Although tailgating is not important, ticket sales are important for potential return opportunity to venues like Charlotte this early in the season.

I'm very much an extrovert and enjoy networking, however....
It might look cool from the outside, but I can assure you that the tailgate party will have long lines for drinks (Quality will likely by trash as well) and mediocre food. I could have my own tailgate with a mix of visiting fellow Mountaineer friends tailgate spots and have a much better time.

Has anyone secured parking somewhere yet? Looking to tailgate with other App folks.

At the least the university needs to rent out a sizable lot just so everyone can gather in one place rather than spread out all over uptown Charlotte.

601A south Cedar street. Easy walk to the stadium and you can reserve now. $30.

Re: ECU game in Charlotte
Alumni Affairs said they weren’t doing a tailgate for Charlotte due to Covid. They thought Yosef might do something. Called Yosef and they were working on this.
Who is doing the tailgate you mentioned? These groups need to get their act together.

Last tailgate I went to that Alumni Affairs organized was at the bowl game at the Super Dome. Not enough tables and chairs. Many people were sitting on the floor like myself. Food was ok, then ran out. I voiced my frustration when I returned and it was like they did not even care. Not interested in doing anything with Alumni affairs in charge.

Re: ECU game in Charlotte
Not an organized tailgate at Cedar Street. Just a convenient parking lot for the game for APP fans. I'm sure we'll gather in our own way for a pregame tailgate like we always do.
