That sight was right up there with some of the peak leaf weekends IMO.

First time I've ever heard a "double rainbow" chant at a football game. You can barely see the second one at the top of the pic.

There were audible gasps in my section when folks started to notice and point up.DaphneUrquhart wrote:That sight was right up there with some of the peak leaf weekends IMO.

Glad someone was able to get a good picture because my craptastic cell phone pics don't do it justice.

There are those in eastern North Carolina who think that the sky is carolina blue. That photograph is proof positive that God lives in Boone, North Carolina!
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

The double rainbow just means the light is refracted twice. They are not as bright nor as frequent. I couldn't see the rainbow from my seats in 111, but did see this great sunset.

My daughter took this pic of the sky in the West while the rainbows were lighting up the East. What a perfect day it was. All 3 of my ASU alum kids were home and we beat Montana. Doesn't get much better.

I would love to have a full-size version of this picture. You should contact the school, what a great picture. Kudos to your daughter.mmgsoar wrote:My daughter took this pic of the sky in the West while the rainbows were lighting up the East. What a perfect day it was.
