App need to get off to a good start and limit the turnovers and penalites early. App had 2 interceptions and missed a FG in 3 of their first 4 possessions against Troy then put the hammer down. They did a similar thing against USA. App needs to put the hammer on GS early and often as that is what it will take to win the CCG and a bowl against good competition. GS could be like wounded animal and leave it all on the field on Saturday and App needs to be ready for it. They have nothing to lose and nothing left to look forward too so their seniors certainly have the motivation to win the only thing available to them this season.....hate week! Hopefully 30K App fans show up to make sure the Apps start and finish strong.

I’m sorry y’all, but I just can’t take this game seriously this year. Obviously I hope we beat them by a million, but this game will not be close. The Stink is BAD this year. This isn’t a case of having some bad luck but they can still put up yards. This isn’t a situation where they can put it together and pull out a win. I genuinely think App’s 2nd string could beat Southern handily.
Troy and South Alabama were worth some hand wringing, Southern is not.
And because of that, I’m so happy to see App absolutely destroy the Stink this year.

No offense but this game should be taken very seriously. Its our Iron Bowl, you can throw out the record books in this game. And don't shoot me for calling it our iron bowl. We need an official name for this series.

Long ago someone mentioned calling this game the black and blue bowl. Makes sense. School colors black and blue. Most always a tough game that leaves you black and blue.
