Michigan would argue that getting beat by App State really doesn't advance any cause. But whatever.

But Ian McCaw doesn't work in higher education... He works at LibertyT-Dog wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 1:20 pmCompletely different issues. I'm not talking about Liberty harming App State directly. I'm talking more about giving Liberty the platform they crave to bolster their message, which they have repeatedly said is a major reason they moved their football program to FBS. And then there's Ian McCaw, the Liberty AD, who should not be working in higher education after what he allowed to happen at Baylor.

If you have personal beliefs that overshadow your desire to see App play, by all means feel free to sit it out. No one will think less or more of you.

But we've already done that. Time to stand up to them and not legitimize them by giving them a chance to beat the best in the state...BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 11:51 ami get what you're saying, but playing and beating UNC-CH actually works against the hegemony they've created. Playing liberty only legitimizes their diploma mill =-money laundering business model.
Apples and oranges on how it benefits App.
Some will bend the narrative to suit what's best for them personally. That is the real point of this back and forth.

Attending either using the "high moral ground" argument is the issue.T-Dog wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 1:20 pmCompletely different issues. I'm not talking about Liberty harming App State directly. We have been working on a Home and Home with an ACC and a Big10 school.

The Maryland effort fell through. I’m not aware of another Big 10 school that we’re talking to.

Based on DG on B&G podcast last week, seems very unlikely that Wisconsin is the matchup. Seemed how that played out left bad taste in DGs mouth so to speak.
In world of college FB maybe you get over it and schedule something with them. Just did not seem like option on podcast.
