For those who haven't seen my ramblings on here, I was given Legends lot last year. I'm going to give a call tomorrow after I've cooled off a bit, but I once again got Legends lot. This was after filling out their parking request form very articulately saying I did not want Legends lot again.
My current ranking is 966 out of 6432, I've donated above the Golden Mountaineer ($1500) level for 2 years now and was at the $500 level the first year I was a member in 2020.
I truly feel like I'm wasting my time filling out their forms and comments on the ordering pages because they are clearly not being read. I wouldn't say I'm a giant donor by any means but this is incredibly frustrating to feel like they legitimately don't care about you unless you're a 5 figure donor.
(On the flip side, I have a spot) DG or someone needs to get creative for the 500 who didn't get parking. Sure it might require buses, but strike a deal with the Community College, Boone Mall, Beaver Field, the Mack, etc to allow a parking and tailgating lot for our Season Ticket holders.
Don't push season tickets if you are unable to accommodate parking for those who make the pledge.
Game days should be a fun, relaxing day in Boone amping up to the game. Instead, we have 500 who will have to pay out of pocket for a spot or sweat out parking on a weekly basis. (It could even be an opportunity for a local business to step up an offer spaces).
The season opener is going to be an absolute cluster with the parking uncertainty and the early kickoff/late arrivals up the mountain.
I think it would be cool ot have field parking there and run Appalcart all day.
It could actually bring about a nice cohesive tailgate center if we used the TF field and the multipurpose field

Re: Football Parking 2022
yeah we parked on a field too. We have basically zero field space in walking distance of the stadium that i'm aware of. theres that farm next to the hospital and we could run shuttles from the BCHS. Watauga high school would be another good spot to get a good cohesive tailgate open.sixtoes9134 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:50 amWhen we went to Penn State, there was a TON of field parkingBallantyneApp wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:48 amthey park in the fields or in the parking lots? I bet boone golf club could make a good penny selling parking passes and working with App to run a shuttle. Doesn't have to be every game unless it turns into a primo tailgating spot buti t would be cool.

Awesome...I spent/donated $300 more this year for the same season tickets (2) and still no parking. Look at other FBS (P5+G5) programs and do the math on season tickets + parking costs. Makes you even more frustrated to see RM and Citadel on the home schedule.

Re: Football Parking 2022
Idk what P5s you looked at but for the quality of football and the price we pay as season ticket holders we probably have the best deal in college football. I have lawyer friends who had to take out loans for NC State to keep and purchase PSLs for their seats. Yosef members have had a luxury for years on quality of football and GameDay experience and now they are starting to inch closer to other large programs.coachprouty wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 11:02 amAwesome...I spent/donated $300 more this year for the same season tickets (2) and still no parking. If a new donor gives 25K they will get enough priority points to jump a lot of people who have been giving low amounts for years.goapps93 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:34 amSo, if a new donor who is willing to write a $25,000 check is being recruited, they will have to park in whatever lot "may" be available? Good luck landing that donor if they're told they have to park in Legends or HHS lot, or since they're on the bottom of the list they may not even get a spot. That doesn't make sense.

Re: Football Parking 2022
I have no connections and know no one affiliated with APPSTATE....that being said I wonder if other donations matter. I see these threads and they never seem to match what people are typing. I got the Library deck and my group got the Legends parking lot. The only difference is I give to many other things beside football. I am beginning to think other donations may matter. Like I said...I have no idea what the secret sauce is. AppState94 seems to know things but I can't ever tell if he really does know things with connections or he is just guessing with confidence.
Good luck to all finding parking...the UNC game is going to be a nightmare for the UNC folks showing up.

Re: Football Parking 2022
This make zero sense that you don’t have a pass. The only thing that I can think is that some of these spots are for season ticket holders that aren’t YC members. Next year you have to be a member so some may drop out or be at the bottom of the priority points.

Let me make sure I understand correctly:smokeshow wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:18 amNew donors get to play the game. App values longevity to newer richer folks. I'm ranked 600 which is fairly good if I want to get into the new Justice lot I make my request and hope I'm high enough over the others that are asking. Once that lot is full I just make my rankings known each year hoping someone leaves. This is good for the university.
I 100% understand if they're donating the minimum required for the lot and their priority level exceeds mine that they keep the spot even if I donate more, that makes it to where longevity beats out newer richer folks as you say.
But if they donate the minimum and my priority points exceeds theirs and I donate more than they do, I should be able to bump them down a lot and take their spot. I'm assuming it's easier on the system to keep the spot the same, but that makes no sense if I have more priority points AND donate more that I can't bump someone.
In that case, what inventive do I have to donate more? (and please no one say "to better support student athletes!" because I know that and I'm stretching a bit to donate as much as I do to ONE organization for the hope of getting better parking which apparently does not work). Genuinely correct me if I'm wrong, but based on what I'm understanding you're saying, I could donate $5000 next year and still be in Legends Lot because nobody left in the lots above me, even though I'm sure my priority points would trump someone's if I went up that much in a year? Or, I could choose to reduce and just donate $300 since I'd be guaranteed to get it since it's the minimum for Legends?

You know on the other hand...it keeps people giving long term because they don't want to lose their parking spot if they take a year off.

Also a problem (A MAJOR ONE). If I'm understanding Smoke correctly, all 500 of those should be new season ticket holders who donated their first year this year. Not that that makes it any better, we should have had parking for anyone who donated enough or we sold too many tickets.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 12:21 pmIt sounds like 500 people did not get parking....period.

It’s not the tickets versus the number of holders. A person holding 2 counts the same as the person holding 10.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 12:24 pmAlso a problem (A MAJOR ONE).
