I tried it online and it wouldn't accept my account# and name. I called the number and they pulled it right up along with all my seat information.

Re: Seatbacks available for the season
I love the idea of blocking off our seats from "encroachment". Anybody use ones like these on the home side that already have the metal back? Do they push you forward enough that it makes leg room worse off?
First world problems, I know. Tempted to just roll the dice

I didn't get the email either. And it hasn't been that long where I updated everything after not getting emails before. What do you have to do? To get on the email list anyway.
Thanks to AppSt94 for providing the link though. Seatbacks have been ordered!

Re: Seatbacks available for the season
My concern is that with the back, it will move me forward an inch or two, which is a problem with knee room being an issue .

So they will set up ready to go? Do we need to pick them up. Sorry this is a first for me.

Re: Seatbacks available for the season
They should be set up before game. For example, when we went to Penn State/App. St. game in Happy Valley...we sat in Penn State section. We got inside stadium a bit early. There were seat backs set up in various places in stadium where folks had paid for them.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 8:00 pmSo they will set up ready to go? Do we need to pick them up. Re: Seatbacks available for the season
I wonder how many they made available. At $45 a seat, that’s a pretty nice bump in revenue for the athletic department.

Re: Seatbacks available for the season
No clue. Thinking they probably underestimated the demand...or thinking about it another way...did not order many as did not want excess.
Hindsight being 20/20 vision...things like this should be offered in June/July on a pre-order basis....so you know how many to buy based upon demand... simple financial planning
My conclusion is that the idea of "seat encroachment is real!!

I’m interested to see what KBS looks like with those scattered around the stadium.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 4:23 pmNo clue. Thinking they probably underestimated the demand...or thinking about it another way...did not order many as did not want excess.

It’s very real. That was the most important aspect for our group. We try to be accommodating of neighbors with “guests” but at some point you just have to hold your ground.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 4:23 pmNo clue. Re: Seatbacks available for the season
We might not be able to get more printed, but if demand is that high I would look into sourcing some non-printed Black or Gold ones

I would assume installation may be reason for limited number. Installing one is easy, but 1000 requires time to locate and install.

Re: Seatbacks available for the season
Bye bye 3 more inches of legroom. If you're 6 feet tall or more think before you act on this one? I was gifted some tickets went to an IU game. I know I know, sacrilege , but I was bucket listing another Big Ten stadium . These seats were installed and touted about by my friend. Seemed like a good idea but fairly evaluated, it was a most uncomfortable time. Either had to sit sideways knees together like a female British Royal posing at a horse race or spread your legs wide, squarely around the shoulders of the guy in front of you. Now sitting this far more forward in an already cramped row just like at KBS as a tall man you had a choice to make. Spread'em like you're about to have your first GYN exam and let the man in front warmly as you get better acquainted use your knees and thighs as a armpit rests ,(no thank you sir not this Mountaineer). Or option B slowly have your caboose go numb (my choice) and start some serious lower back spasms sitting (half a$$ed) on one cheek or the other in the afore mentioned Royal position. So much fun we left at half . I know we do a lot more standing at KBS but IMHO let the tall buyer beware.

Re: Seatbacks available for the season
I believe I saw that these seatbacks were actually being provided by a 3rd party provider. So, I assume, we've contracted with them (Amplify Seating perhaps?) and in turn they provide everything (not sure about actual placement on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings) and the athletics departments gets a cut with no overhead. If this is indeed the case, and your business is this, one would think you could get more created ASAP if demand warranted...because obviously the market is there.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 4:23 pmNo clue. Re: Seatbacks available for the season
Since I sit in NEZ, I did not follow details. So, they put these out each game. I thought they may be temporary but able to hook up to seat to be there all season...then take down...did not realize an each game idea. Interesting.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 6:51 amI believe I saw that these seatbacks were actually being provided by a 3rd party provider.
