Bro's, bro's, bro's. App State has lost three times to P5 programs by more than one score:

1. UGA - National Championship Participant
2. Clemson - National Championship Participant
3. Miami - Mark Richt coached team who won 10 games and App's first time hosting a P5 program

In App's last five P5 games, they are 3-2. In App's last 5 against AP Top 10 teams, App is 2-3. In App's like 3 against AP Top 25 teams, they are 2-1.

Unless UNC is going to the College Football Playoff, this will not be better than a one score differential. How the pessimism has befallen this board, as if Joe Cool didn't just step in and throw four touchdowns and only two incompletions. How USC effectively had two or three offensive linemen out and abandoned the run game completely by the 1st quarter.

Dude's, chill out. R-E-L-A-X.

I predict that Fletcher, Hopper, Collins, Clark, Johnson, Spellman, Davis, Favors, and Funderburk all have big days on Saturday. We saw a grown man in Fletcher knock down three grown men at one point, all by himself, on Saturday. We saw Hopper throwing people aside, holding the line, and getting after the QB. We saw Collins just gracefully, at 6'5 260 lbs, get by tackles and guards untouched. We saw Nate Johnson man handle receivers and tackles as a true freshman.

App State - 38
UNC - 27

It's going to be a good day.

Could we see it come down to another field goal? We've seen that plenty of times. Hughes is up for it! Let's go!

All this same stuff keeps going through my mind, but I just can't believe. I've been burned too many times. Not just by App, but all the teams I root for.

I look forward to eating crow on this, but my worry doesn’t stem from the quality of the P5 opponent. We’ve always punched above our weight in the past.

My concern is that I’m not certain we are the same quality as we used to be.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so much doubt from our own fans, that ain’t by accident.
