He did have a losing record last year - against FBS competition -beating two of the weaker FCS squads. The often stated goal of a conference championship as yet to be attained , but seems within reach this year.

I wish him all the best, but Shawn Clark seems like a lazy hire. I hope you guys are right about Gillin, but I don't see it.
How so? He has P5 coaching experience and a former player. The current players love him. He’s an avid recruiter. He loves to sandpaper opponents. Did I miss something?
I have no idea if he can put a staff together. I have no idea if he can manage a staff. I don't know if he can run an offense. I don't know what an O-line coach knows about defense. I think these are legitimate questions.
What the heck. That's from 12/12/19.
So your point? He has hired an elite staff, all 3 of his OC got P5 jobs. He has not had a losing record yet, he has a win over SEC #5 ranked team. He has won 2 Bowl games and lost 1.

Not a lazy hire, the correct hire at the time in the history of where the program is. The offense runs the power that makes it very difficult for teams to come to Boone and win. Your post above has been proven wrong.
A&M was OBVIOUSLY, WILDLY overrated. The 2019 NO Bowl was Drink's team, if you want to give Clark credit for that one, fine. The 2020 MB Bowl was against a N. Texas team that had a loosing record going into the game, but Clark won that for sure. My point is that if you read posts (as I know you have), there are questions. Mine didn't start last night.

You can't say A and M was over rated after the fact... you remember the Michigan win? top 5 to over rated -- lets take that win away from Jerry and the program if you take away AandM win...🤯. UNC and South Carolina were over rated so let's take those from Drinkwitz -- what a dumb argument.

Clark can't select who he plays in the Bowl (n Texas) his job is to beat who he plays.... and that 2019 team wasn't Drinks it was Satterfields and Clark and Watts held that together. He's taken UNC to the wire for 2 straight seasons and they have a first round QB.

Get a clue or go back and add a 3rd degree...

I don't need to have a third degree to know that Michigan team beat Florida in the Citrus Bowl and A&M finished with a loosing record.

So the basketball win over Louisville last year doesn't count either since they stink. Let's take away all of the big wins if the teams stink. 🙄

*Make sure LKNLawyer notes that in the deposition so we have it on the record during basketball discussions (that's a joke, been watching the Suits show lately)
