Confession Time: I know how this story ends.
We smoke USM this weekend, which lights the fire. We then roll on and don’t lose another game for at least 2 years. The chaos calms down, all is right in the football world and in our Earthly heaven (Boone). We all get along again on here, and NewApp even stops with the pointless posts.

Brother, have you watched Southern Miss? App is bad, no doubt about it, but USM is AWFUL. Like, dudes clearly giving up mid play awful. Seriously, go watch some high lights. Western could beat Southern Miss.

I took some time and watched about 25 minutes of Southern videos and all I can say after ODU is that if we lose to Southern Miss for homecoming, then I will volunteer to drive up to Boone and pack up Clark's office for him. I'm not going to give a score prediction in that thread. I'm not going to say anything in the gameplay thread on Saturday. I'm going to hope and pray for the W and if not, then Clark can get the L out of town.

Since we beat ULM and they are 0-4, I would suggest we aren't one of the two worst teams in the league. There are several teams with our 1-2 record. It’s all the same old coach speak we hear every week. “It’s going to get fixed” but never does. This team is just like last year. Getting worse the deeper we get into the season. Hard to believe that we are at the point where a game against a horrible team has warranted a thread outside of the game day variety. We never had to worry about the cellar dwellers short of the usual "trap game" worrier guys. I haven't been one of those fire the coach fans but damn if we drop this one...
I had asked on another thread who the last legit team was that we beat soundly. Someone offered up Ga State from last year. I think they went 5-7 or 4-8. Still no real answer. Now who was the last Belt team we laid the wood to? That's beginning to be a tough one as well.

He got pressed a bit on this one. I can't say I hated his answers but I can't say I liked all of them either.... I wish he had given an update on Burger. I also hate Nate got hurt like he did but it's part of the game. Hopefully, he will return real soon...along with Castle and Burger.
