Yep, BG had a chance to get off the field on a 4th and 2 and gave up a 60 TD pass out in the flat. Was painfully reminiscent of our late game struggles.

I understand being ineligible during the transition-out year from a lower division, but during the transition-in year to a higher division, it makes no sense.

Worst case the waiver is rejected this week and provides motivation for them.

Best case the waiver is approved and they finally feel real pressure to perform.

Yes, a dumb rule IMO ..Should be considered for change in off-season.... Not changing the rule mid-season just because a school screams from the mountaintop. They knew the rules.

The flip side of argument is they thought they would get the waiver...now that they do not..players play to not get injured, etc. although I do not believe this ..but there are various potential angles to look at it...
They are competitors. Hope we get them as healthy as they can be...and we lay a beat down on them!!

Got to show up Saturday. Going to be a hostile environment. We have to keep cool and loose. Avoid the extracurricular jawing and pushing. Just show up and play hard nosed, smart and fast. We show our respect by giving them all they can handle. We have to be physically and mentally tough, and players will have to make plays.

The weakness of the Duke's defense is their passing defense, although they have only allowed 12 passing TDs on the season. We should be able to throw at will on them which will open up running opportunities on a stingy rush defense. As long as Joey continues to make good decisions with the ball and keeps spreading it around, we should have success through the air. I look for Joey to have a big day.
