Any of this look familiar?
Damn Saint, you forgot to state what they did in 1901.
Don't compare us to Alabama for one big reason. They replaced their coach with Nick Saban. Don't think Satterfield is anything like Saban. It shows we can come back and I hope we do. Just don't think we have a coaching staff or even a head coach the caliber of Saban.

No D-I program does.

I heard the comments, thought Cobb seemed a bit whiny. It is hard for me to imagine a stronger App alumni than Brownie. He was a star QB, former coach and long time color guy on ASN with great insight into the game who tells it like it is.
After last week I imagine Cobb and other in Boone are a little tense.
Perhaps this week Cobb should watch ESPN Game Day instead or my favorite Andy Griffith reruns. Lets hope Coach Satterfield can turn things around and we as fans need to keep showing up at the Rock supporting our team.

I am amazed that our AD has the nerve to bad mouth one of the top radio teams around. Steve Brown tells it like it is, not how Cobb wishes it was. Brown has forgot more about football than Cobb has ever known. Color commentators report what they see, they are not cheerleaders or puppets. He needs to worry about the most dismal start in recent history for a proud program that is looking like a joke. All Cobb cares about is applying for other AD jobs and padding his resume. Lay off of Brown and do your dang job Cobb. There is no excuse for the way this team is playing. And making smart comments about the radio team is not going to make us play like defending conference champions..... Oh wait......that was Jerry's fault we won another conference title last year.

Sometimes you just have to be honest. you have to put aside partisan feelings and just look at hard facts. What has Charlie really done to earn the resume he has ended up with? The resume look FANTASTIC but those of us who have done a reasonable amount of interviewing and hiring look deeper. We look to see how these things got on that resume. As I look at his I see reasonable maintaining is some areas and some failure in others. What I don't see is building. Maintaining is necessary but building is critical and I just don't see it. Maybe other universities are seeing the same. Maybe he will be here for a while.

As I have said before, Cobb needs a phone call from Heywood Jablome.

bcoach I completely agree. Cobb & Beasley can take all credit for building this program but the real credit should go to a guy named Edwards. Cobb has the personality of a bucket of water. He has interviewed for more jobs than any of us really know about and hasn't been able make the final cut, let alone get hired. When the guy gets in front of a committee he comes across as a boob. Now I hear the BOT recently extended his contract through 2017 so unless someone comes up with a lot of cash we're stuck with the guy for several more years.. Smart move on his part knowing a new chancellor will be coming on board. Stupid move by the BOT.

I'm not sure what I'd give him credit for. Success of the fball and baseball would be at least 80% due to the coaches. We've had moments of upticks in some of the other sports, but equal moments of downticks, so to me that's a wash considering where we should be based on the size of our school in some respects that's really a fail. So I can't say that CC gets credit there. Losing CUSA, joining SB is not really a win and while I can't say that's is all on CC, I have to say that he didn't "pull anything out". School spirit...credit the fball wins and Peacock being our #1 fan. Smooth transfer of coaches... a big fail and even it's partly JM fault as AD it was CC responsibility to make the best of a bad situation, which he didn't.

I'm not that knowledgeable about everything but maybe others can say what CC's big wins are, I just don't know of any.

I don't disagree, but it could always be worse. We could still have lameley and drip.

Totally agree. We owe Armanti big time. He was the right player at the perfect time. There was a drunk in 215 last saturday yelling put Armanti in. It was pretty funny actually. Not sure why BOT would extend his contract witha new Chancellor coming in. Guess they are just protecting their boy.
