We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Re: Away Game Tickets
Found tickets last night through the clemson ticket office. 45 yd line on the visitors side upper deck. 46 each - service charge sucks but that's the way it is now.

Re: Away Game Tickets
This morning I have taken a breath to escape the away game ticket tribulation from yesterday. What I have personally concluded is this:
I spend far too much time, energy, emotion and money on App State football. I can begin fixing the time, energy and emotion parts today. I will fix the money part next year.

Re: Away Game Tickets
I can understand the above. For those that are frustrated, I suggest that an email to the parties involved is reasonable. My experience yesterday went a lot smoother than some but I still have my issues with the process. I will be sending my own email.

Re: Away Game Tickets
I buy the tickets through the ticket office to support App. If they want to make it difficult, like yesterday, it's easy enough to just purchase off Stub Hub. Same section and lower price. I got them saved in Wallet on my phone and they are easier to transfer than if I got them through App. Win/Win. If App needs my business back they will figure out how to make it easier to purchase from them.

Re: Away Game Tickets
There are tickets still available for the CT game on their website. The seats be high up there but it gets you in.

Re: Away Game Tickets
The process this year was different than last year for away tickets. Have to wonder what the rationale was to do a 180.

Re: Away Game Tickets
I came to this conclusion a few years back. (Season tickets....got me to this conclusion and the championship game played at Louisiana) If I can find a ticket near time for a game at a decent price, I go. If I can't find a ticket, I watch on TV. I found myself too involved emotionally in decisions I had no control over. If it works out for "me"...I am in.App74 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 7:53 amThis morning I have taken a breath to escape the away game ticket tribulation from yesterday. I've used this logic with many many things in life recently. It's a great mindset.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 10:05 amI came to this conclusion a few years back. Re: Away Game Tickets
I really think adjusting the amount of money given is another way. We have people in charge who don't listen or give a crap until the cash flow stops. I want to win but why should I care so much if the people in charge don't even care about us? And before anyone says we don't want to hurt the players I would say that the incompetence by many in our athletic department hurts it more because it causes some to feel that way.
Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered. When they say you have to give x amount to park in such and such lot then it should be that. If you had a spot there and give that amount you get a spot there. If someone comes in trying to offer more than next year you raise the amount but to tell people one thing and not do it or make it so hard to get tickets is insane to me.
There should have been priority to those highest up in points first for Clemson and games like it. I know people in our top 250 of points who could not get tickets and they tried the day those tickets became available. It is just disappointing to see.

Re: Away Game Tickets
This is a very good point. I think our fans need to feel this way as a whole. I just think our incompetence up on the mountain sometimes is mind boggling. I brought up issues before but I don't find myself consumed with it. If you aren't giving enough money to put your name on a building they really don't care about you.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 10:05 amI came to this conclusion a few years back. Agreed. It seems like similar issues happen every year so we will see if they do.

Re: Away Game Tickets
I sent an email voicing my issues with the lack of consistency in the process and the lack of clarity in the communication. I received a response that they will look into it. I offered a model going forward that would help with both accountability and and efficiency. The initial response was positive. I’ll follow up on Friday during the Yosef Club Golf Tournament.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 4:17 pmI really think adjusting the amount of money given is another way. When people say they will look into it they rarely do but I would be interested to see what they say when you follow up.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 4:35 pmI sent an email voicing my issues with the lack of consistency in the process and the lack of clarity in the communication. Re: Away Game Tickets
I’m going to give the person that I spoke with the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. We shall see. The thing is, we don’t know what constraints there might be that are causing issues. Having worked in Risk Management for almost 30 years, (DAMN!) one of the first questions that gets asked amongst management is “what is it going to cost?” Just like with people that have issues with the 2022 & 2023 football seasons, it’s easy to identify the problem when you don’t know the full picture. And when you don’t know the full picture, it’s just an assumption.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 5:46 pmWhen people say they will look into it they rarely do but I would be interested to see what they say when you follow up.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 4:35 pmI sent an email voicing my issues with the lack of consistency in the process and the lack of clarity in the communication. Re: Away Game Tickets
I know they ask about the cost but when other schools don't have the issue then I think it is just bull crap or we need to move money from another area that is not essential to this.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 6:03 pmI’m going to give the person that I spoke with the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Re: Away Game Tickets
I don’t remember the last time I bought away tickets from anyone other than a guy selling them on the way to the stadium. Maybe the UT game. Never paid more than face value. Had some great seats invariably with the other fans but never a bad experience.

Re: Away Game Tickets
I did land the UT tickets on the way in to the stadium....Surrounded by a sea of orange. I started fearing for my life at half time. Those Tennessee fans were VISIBLY angry at half time. Some of the worst glares I have ever received at an away stadium.

Re: Away Game Tickets
SEC fans are great during a tailgate and the game until you start winning. And if you do win don't expect to see them postgame, they scurry like roach coaches back to their holes. Looking at you SC fans.
