Game could be a mess, looks like bad weather which will certainly hurt attendance and ruin Family Weekend.
Hopefully the system clears out, but the forecast is a bit bleak.

Sorry, he's not being critical of Shawn, he's recognizing the conversation of this board. Of course, folks will read into what they want. I think the more interesting point is that the last time he came to Boone after App was coming off a thrashing (UL 41-13), he lost.

Re: Moving on to Liberty
I took his comment as a backhanded slap to Clark (facial expression seals that thought for me)....then at the end he added what he did to save face...similar to when people say, "Just kidding".hapapp wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 1:06 pmSorry, he's not being critical of Shawn, he's recognizing the conversation of this board. Re: Moving on to Liberty
I thought he spoke the truth in a way that showed some empathy for Coach Clark. Expectations are high on the mountain and should be. I'm sure he smells blood in the water and if I were Chadwell, I'd be feeling extremely confident coming up the mountain. A lot of the hate comes from the fact that he is darn good at what he does.

If we're throwing around interesting points... here's another one:hapapp wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 1:06 pmSorry, he's not being critical of Shawn, he's recognizing the conversation of this board. When was the last time we lost back-to-back home games? 2014... we lost to South Alabama by 26, and then lost to Liberty the next weekend.

Sure as hell hope history doesn't repeat itself. I'm not real confident about it right now though.AppStateDieHard wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 1:31 pmIf we're throwing around interesting points... here's another one:hapapp wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 1:06 pmSorry, he's not being critical of Shawn, he's recognizing the conversation of this board. I don’t think the storm is factored in yet, but Boone is in the 10” rain band, it’s projected to be a huge storm so we will be in the back side of the storm by Saturday afternoon.TheMoody1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 1:14 pmNational weather Service for Boone: Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 72.KentHogan wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 11:45 amIt hurts but it’s the truth.AppStateDieHard wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 9:28 amEven Coach Chadwell knows...

Re: Moving on to Liberty
This is probably true. But I don't think any of us are unreasonable to expect that App competes for the Sun Belt championship every year.
IMO: We should play in more championship games than we don't, and we should win more than we lose. That's not unreasonable considering the decades of success on the mountain.
Since 1986, we've won 16 conference championships. That's almost one championship every other year. More importantly, when Shawn became HC, we were averaging one conference championship every other year.

Re: Moving on to Liberty
He would be calling out the fans if he said "unrealistic expectations." I don't think any App fan would disagree that we have high expectations for the football program. I also think most fans would say the team has not met those expectations consistently over the last five years.

Re: Moving on to Liberty
Hope that’s accurate, every forecast I see says cloudy with rain. Although it will likely change wildly over the next couple days. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.TheMoody1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 1:14 pmNational weather Service for Boone: Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 72.KentHogan wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 11:45 amIt hurts but it’s the truth.AppStateDieHard wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 9:28 amEven Coach Chadwell knows...
